Imagine honestly thinking that looked good.

 

The whole post is baffling. I cannot imagine the thought process that leads to concluding that a movie some people sincerely argue is the greatest film ever made has to be given a “pulpy, adventure-book feel” by shoddy coloring techniques to be better appreciated.

 

Real "Look how they massacred my boy" energy.

 

It's certainly the best screenplay ever, which is amazing since it was written on the fly.

 

I can't believe I'm saying this, but yes.

Until I figured out exactly where they spawned that was me with bison.

 

I saw it as an absolute win.

 

I'm not sure about "ably." In the first appearance of Ruffalo's Hulk in The Avengers, he's able to learn to control his transformation for no reason other than he realized he's "always angry."

No, it is. That's what he says right before he transforms on purpose for the end battle, which he has never done before. I love that first Avengers movie, but that has always struck me as an off note.

 

I don’t think he had total control over his transformation — he’s plagued by fear he’ll inadvertently transform, and the revelation was just that he can deliberately transform at any time by tapping into the well of anger he carries about his situation.

He can’t control the Hulk once he’s out, he can’t transform back from the Hulk at will, and he can’t guarantee that the Hulk won’t inadvertently come out at any moment. He just can deliberately let the Hulk out because it’s easy to make himself angry.

 

It's definitely more of an applause line moment than coherent storytelling, which is fitting because by that point that was all the Hulk was going to be good for.
