Anakins dark jedi robes, i would've liked the lighter regular robes better.

I thought at the end of TPM when anakin was wearing the lighter ones, those were what he would end up with.(yeah i know he grew up)

I suppose lucas did it to resemble the dark anakin but i just would've prefered the lighter more traditonal robes. Anyone else agree?

And don't compare his robes to jinns anakin's are way darker.

 

I like it the way it is. I love that kind of symbolism. It was used with Luke in the OT as well. ANH - white, innocent. TESB - gray, more experienced. ROTJ - black, confident, bordering on the dark side.

 

I love Anakin's AOTC outfit, it's very cool. I like how the leather jerkin makes it very non-conventional, without being over the top. And of course, the comparisons with Vader's robes.

It could quite possibly end up being my second favourite costume design in the entire saga.

 

i agree his jerkin showed his uniqueness also it falls right along with the story line

 

I loved the darker robes. It was just one more piece of symbolism in the movie. Actually, I didnt like the leather thing. I think it would have been interesting if the robes looked a little more like Darth Maul's from TPM. Now that was a great costume!

 

I too like the AOTC outfit a lot, though it
took me more than a half year till I noticed that Anakin has cut-out sleeves and not a regular robe.

Strange thing is that I have a pic of Anakin
( Hayden ) wearing a very light Jedi outfit.
Nearly the same as Ep 1 Obi Wan´s only a bit more tan.
That pic was from a German Mad issue.

I never seen a pic of Anakin with a tan robe anywhere else.

Curious.

 

I like the darker robes. I think they made him look a bit rebelious.

 

I like the darker robes because they show what's coming but, I would have been happy with robes like his ghost wears in ROTJ too.

 

I love Anakin's darker robes in AOTC. Not only are they cool and stylish ( ), but they are also symbolic to Anakin being sort of a rogue. They also show hints of Vader's clothing, mainly in his cloak.

 

I like the dark robes but maybe if it was a different colour... Dark Grey perhaps. What do u think?

The dark (almost black) robes served a very important symbolic purpose. The lighter robes wouldn't have had the same connotations connected to them.
