I keep hearing rumblings that Seth Rogen and his usual cohorts will make an appearance as well.

I shall watch it live on UK Gold on the 20th.

I shall also ignore Everton having live tickets and not be jealous at all.

Everton, your lack of a report vexes me.

I'm sorry to vex you. It was as good as one could reasonably expect from a bunch of septuagenarians in it for the cash. They needed lots of time between sketches (so we got lots of song and dance routines as filler), were clearly out of practice and a occasionally uncomfortable with the whole big arena thing (Jones and Gilliam in particular)... but ultimately it was a last chance to see, in person, all five surviving Pythons performing some of the most famous sketches ever written. That alone justified ignoring all the (admittedly rather charming) inadequacies on display. The material, when they stuck to it, still holds up. We laughed a lot. Brilliantly shambolic!

The only genuine disappointment was Terry Jones bringing a Liverpool flag on stage. The show was rude and crude... but this was the only truly offensive part.

Pretty much what I expected then.

I would hope that the song and dance routines were python-based

And what of the Hawking/Cox rumour?

Both on the big screen. Immediately after 'The Galaxy Song', Cox did a piece to camera criticising the lyrics (from a scientific standpoint). In response, Hawking appeared to drive up behind him, knocking him over. Hawking then began to sing the lyrics himself before shooting off into space. Very funny! :D

I enjoyed that. A nice mix of classic and lesser-known sketches. The performances were pretty good. I was surprised that their final sketch was the Cheese Shop. Thought they'd have ended with the parrot.

Everton, who was the star Bruce and Blackmail star when you went to see it?

The only gay in the village was the Blackmail guest. Didn't have a clue who the star Bruce was.

Just got back ourselves. Great to see the close-ups this time. The big screen on the night isn't as good for that as you might think! Brilliant that Hawking was in the audience.

Also, "It's expired and gone to meet Dr. Chapman" was a nice touch. :)
