As long as there is still humour. K-2SO supplied most of the for R1, with it not in the first season of Andor I hope the comedy is still a factor.

I tend to think R1 was the most humorless of the feature films, which is ok, it was going for a different tone. Will be very interesting to see what kind of tone this show has. If this ends up being a Mon Mothma series as much as a Casssian one, sign me up for that! She is the more interesting of the two imo.

I think RO had the least amount of humor, but the humor that was there (primarily via K-2, but also from Chirrut) was some of my favorite in Star Wars. "Are you kidding me? I'm blind!"

Not a movie of course but TBOBF was severely lacking in intentional humour.

The directing in most episodes was a riot though. That said, the whole story structure was pretty laughable.

In terms of Andor, I just hope we get more screaming alien thingy:

I said all along that Andor would be a massive hit. Nothing I have seen or heard has changed my mind.

Rodrigo Perez the EIC of IndieWire says Tony Gilroy is one of the filmmakers who is in negotiations for a multi-year commitment to Lucasfilm. It will likely be announced at Celebration.

It definitely makes sense to let Gilroy shape a large portion of future SW given that Rogue One is by far the best movie made in the Disney era.

This must be really great for you to hear since you're the biggest Rogue One fan on the boards. =D=

I wonder if he will tell the rebellion story beyond Andor. Saw's story? I wonder where else he will go.

That would be great. I’d also like to see Edwards involved with whatever Gilroy does, but still, I’m really happy with this. What Gilroy said about Andor just hits the sweet spot for me in terms of what I’m looking for in Star Wars.

Yeah, Gilroy can direct too, but I was wondering if he would serve only as the primary storyteller for a series of movies. This could signal a return of Edwards? Or at least different directors in support of Gilroy's scripts.
