I liked Rogue One, but do we need this? Maybe I'm proven wrong, but is this a backstory we actually need or want? I really don't care about this character.

 

Mate. Im not entirely sure what to do with myself at this point in time. EVERYTHING that was announced - I wanted. Then some. This Cassian series, Ahsoka's show and Rogue Squadron....wow!

 

Agreed we already got Rebels which showed the birth of rebellion.

 

Its a SPY THRILLER. In the SW galaxy? Are you nuts????

I'd rather see a crime syndicate/gangster show with the Hutts, Crimson Dawn etc. I don't really care about pre-ANH rebel intelligence.

We got Jyn's story in Rogue One. We never really got Cassian's story... until now!

 

We got enough of his story. To each their own, enjoy it (maybe I will too)

 

Cant please everyone. But I respect you may not like the announced stuff. Out of all the announced series, which ones are you looking forward too?

 

Do we really NEED an interstellar spy thriller set in the most amazing fictional galactic civilization ever created?

1. Look at the concept art in the sizzle reel. We’re going to get plenty of seedy underworld types in this.

2. It’s a spy thriller. Think about it for a second. Where do spies spend a lot of their time? In the underworld. Gathering intelligence is not just about talking to Rebels and Imperials. All kinds of shady characters - criminals included - will be a part of it. I bet we’ll see Crimson Dawn and Hutts and all that jazz. And I wouldn’t doubt that this series will intersect a bit with Lando.

 

I feel like they might retcon the Cassian comic and put K2-SO in the show

 

It's only 12 episodes, so they have a specific story that they want to tell.

So it should be good. And I remember reading somewhere that it's going to be darker in tone than The Mandalorian. I don't know if that makes any difference in the grand scheme of things, but it's something.

 

Nah, rather have a series about Jar Jar going on his brisk early morning munchins following Boss Nass and Captain Tarpals to the store.

 

With this one I'm more interested in the setting than the character (not that I disliked Andor or anything)--but it's also one that with the barrage of new stuff has kinda slinked down the interest ladder for me. Still definitely willing to give it a try though if it delivers the cutthroat black ops feel I was hoping for.
