They have a story to tell and want to tell it good fpr them

 

I want to see more of the moral ambiguity RO only hinted at. Like Cassian being sent to assassinate extremist rebel leaders like Saw Gerrera who's methods are used to smear the Alliance in Imperial propaganda or something.

 

So this is finally confirmed for 2022 so we know when Kenobi is coming out

What a day eh....sorry they didn't announce a Boba Fett show for you, I was convinced when I heard how many shows/project they were announcing that we would get a Fett show jest just after ROTJ - I would have loved that. For your sake, I hope they don't kill him now in TM.

Yeah, I was just going by the "12 episodes" in the sizzle reel.

 

12 episodes for season one. This was announced as an ongoing series, like the Mandalorian and Rangers of the New Republic. I think the rest of the live-action show announcements are for limited or event series, which implies a one season and done situation. And if there was ever a show that could run for nearly an endless number of seasons, it’s a galactic spy thriller. You can tell complex and interesting stories in that mode forever.

Bad Batch
Andor
New Republic
Mandalorian

 

Yes, and 3 mini series - Ahsoka, Lando and Obi Wan. I think.

 

This show is a sleeper hit. If fans like Rogue One, and they do, I'm sure they'll feel this.

After this announcement and all the new shows I don’t think KK is losing her job anytime soon

 

The point all the time is that she's fine managing the business side. That is a non-issue. The creative side is where she shouldn't be involved because that was never her role with Spielberg, Lucas or all the other directors she was involved with.

Still waiting for the Rian Johnson trilogy announcement.

Sure, but it didn't happen. Remember that it was Lucas himself who hired KK not Disney. He knew that wasn't what she does but whatever he had in mind didn't turn out the way he thought it would.

Disney on their own might have very well hired someone who was a Feige-like overseer but once KK was hired by Lucas they weren't going to replace her and so there was no such person in place to look over the creative the same way.

 

It is what it is and I think Disney is definitely over the moon with how well Mando was received she isn’t going anywhere

Remember that scene in RO where he turns to all the other Rebels and describes some of them as assassins and saboteurs. So he was very much in the thick of all that. There's a lot to explore there.

 

But wait. Is Acolyte an ongoing series? The official announcement just said “series,”without qualifying it with “limited” or “event.”

 

Your right. Plus in the original announcement months ago it was called a series as well

 

I find it strange that Alan tudyk is not on the cast list released today since he was already confirmed. I hope it was just an error and he is still part of the show.

And man, the sets and concept art for this looked soooo good. This is my most anticipated of everything that is coming.
