The O in the Andor logo reminds me of the video game Quake Q logo.

I hope Tudyk is still on board. But if not, that’s OK. Luna, perhaps one of the best actors in Star Wars, can easily carry a show himself.

Quite shocked how far down the road this is, they have certainly kept a tight lid on it.

 

I'm surprised they didn't mention Alan Tudyk there. I really hope he's back as well. Can't imagine anyone else playing K-2SO.

Its possible they want to keep K2 as a surprise, so they don't want us to know in which episode Alan will appear for the first time or its also possible he won't be in Season 1, cause Andor will get K2 only later. Another possibility is that they realized to animate K2 in each episode with movie level quality would be too expensive and they wrote him out of it, which would be a pity.

There is that one shot comic that explains how Cassian got K2, but that could be easily retconed and I never really liked that story too much anyways.

Just love this enthusiasm here. He really loves the franchise. What he'll bring to the table is worth it alone.

Really curious and hopeful that this show will touch on Cassian's youth in the Separatists ("I've been in this fight since I was six years old!"). We're sorely lacking in post-PT portrayals of ex-Separatist characters, let alone individual common citizens, so Cassian could be a great opportunity to show the feelings of a person who was already prejudiced against the Empire back when it was still a Republic. Doesn't even need flashbacks per se, just have it inform Cassian's responses to the Rebels, or have him meet other ex-Seps, which I'm sure there are a lot of. Maybe that could even be a post-hoc rationalisation to add to his strong bond with K2-SO, he grew up with Battledroids as heroes protecting his people

Edit: Oh, and since it's set in the criminal underworld, let's hope Diego Luna finally gets his chance to meet his idol :

One notable thing that was glossed over yesterday is that Tony Gilroy is now credited as the sole creator.

Stephen Schiff of The Americans was the original showrunner/creator with Gilroy coming in as a co-showrunner/executive producer. But now it's firmly Gilroy's show. I think Tony Gilroy is one of the best screenwriters in the business - he's done everything from The Cutting Edge to The Devil's Advocate to Michael Clayton to the Bourne movies - but he's gone on record saying he wasn't into Star Wars at all when he joined Rogue One.

So I'm surprised to see him come back, even with Disney's deep pockets. A-list writers like Gilroy could go anywhere they want.

 

I wonder why they blurred out all the artwork of the Rebellion military? It's not as though we haven't seen them before.
