Andor Official "Andor" Series Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

I should have made it clearer then that I was taking that into account at this point. In totality at this point she is ahead of Andor who is a fairly interesting side character in a successful movie but it's not like the movie was built around him. He is a good sketch of a character to start with but where exactly they are going with him is very open.

 

Yeah, I am pretty excited for this one. The era and format just BEGS for a spy genre format because of the way it pits an underground rebellion vs a fascist Empire, like the best WWII spy thrillers. This might sound silly but I'm kinda hoping that they put all those old spy / resistance / war movie tropes and cliches in it. I really hope that it features a lot more Imperial intrigue and workings of the Empires "lower decks" as well, because that is one of the things that was hinted at in Rogue One and I enjoyed it. Krennick seems like a much more lower class of officer, who is struggling to hold his own against the more elite ranks. I hope some of that makes its way into this.

 

Absolutely. The upstart/ new money Krennic vs the establishment/ old money Tarkin was such a great undercurrent in Rogue One.

 

Yes, it would be fantastic to see inner workings of the Empire politics at lower levels. It could be an great moment to finally see the whole ISB vs Intelligence rivalry from Legends!

Empire politics, with Tarkin, Krennic and Palpatine along with their minions.

 

I'm really hoping we see some undercover and infiltration type missions in Andor, would especially love to see missions on Coruscant.

I think it’s almost a certainty we’ll see Coruscant in this.

 

Corucant, Nar-shadda and and nal hutta are perfect for this show.

 

And the Ring of Kafrene. It's still, IMO, one of the coolest locations in Star Wars. The GFFA needs more settlements on asteroids.

 

There was one in TROS, covered in ice.

 

I remember. But JJ barely let us get a look at it.

 

Yeah sure, so we could get more of those as secret rebel meetings. I love is visits such with ice around it.

I posted a link to another newspaper on Kenobi thread, it doesn't make sense when earliest reports were Kenobi was going to be filmed in Algones Dunes area of Southern California, Yuma and Lake Los Angeles.

 

The word has always been that Obi-Wan starts filming in March, whereas we know Cassian is filming now, and has been for a few weeks at least.

 

The local council's website has this update about filming on the set which has been built in Little Marlow:

"There will be some movement on site again from Monday the 18th January where preparations will continue. This is with a view to start production from Monday 25th January 2021.

Please note from Monday the 25th there will be increased traffic in the area..."
