Edmonton animethon:This weekend

Event runs Aug.8-10th: "Grant Mac": costume attire is optional.

 

Yeah I've been a few times but I'm not an anime fan so yeah probably not gonna catch it, but have fun for those who go

 

I went of course. It was ok. Got some great costumes done though.

 

Cool, was it fun or kinda meh?

 

There was alot of drama for Animethon this year so it wasnt great but I ran my classes, did the contest and hung around with friends I never see so thats always fun. It wasnt nearly as good as last year though. But I didnt pay to get in so whatever its all good.

 

I got in sat. evening...around 7-ish...walked by the snack as they played "80's transformers" on the monitor. Then I noticed folks had "passes" around their necks. When did this policy come into effect? animethon isn't free anymore...jeez..gone for awhile and everyone has delusions of grandeur.

Costumes were neat...even saw a pirate...so cute.
