Anyone here ever apply for a job at Lucasfilm?

I've a friend who recently applied for a job at Lucasfilm (the job announcement was posted at lucasfilm.com).

Has anyone here ever applied for any job at LFL? Did you get called back or asked for an interview?

My friend doesn't think she has much of a chance since they probably get thousands of resumes/applications... but who knows, there might be some hope!

 

If it's anything like ILM, tell your friend to be prepared to wait.

She would probably only be called if there is any interest. Usually they give you first one interview to touch bases, you know discuss a bit about your resume, what you could bring to the company, etc. If you pass that phase then you might get a second interview, with the people in charge (managers, etc. ) to really grill you and make sure you can do. Depending on the position that might be it or they might want a personal interview on site, but it varies. hey'll also let you know how long it'll take them to make a decision.

But even getting that first call might take more than a few weeks.
