Anyone up for a Somerset meet?

Any Somerset/North Dorset/West Wiltsire Star Wars fans lurking here? Or is it just us ewoks? :/

 

I could possibly do one if it were somewhere like Frome, but I don't know anywhere else in Somerset really, unless Bath and Bristol are still counted

 

Frome, Bath, or Bristol would all be fine by me! I can get to anywhere with a train station that has trains going to Yeovil

 

Well, best bet for me looks like Bath. Quick and easy train route between Salisbury and there, whereas the one to Frome is convoluted, and I'd need to get a lift to Yeovil.

 

Bath it is then! Now we just need more people

Oh, and I'm back in salisbury from the 16th, so any time after then will be good.

If you're meeting in Bath (depending on the date) I can make it. Its a fairly easy journey from MK. I presume that this will not be until the New Year?

I'll post soon about upcoming cons in Bristol btw, but I'll see what I can do about getting to Bath. No promises, there are gonna be lots of meets and opportunities, and if the Metro is right, rail prices are going up. So I am gonna make sure I make meets in all chapters next year, and hopefully give the South as much as support as I can, without making myself bankrupt

I must try to go to a Bristol event.
I was annoyed at missing the one that was on this year.

 

i might try for this one. would be great to meet a few new faces from the other chapters bath and bristol arnt that far from me

 

Any ideas when/where this meet will take place? I think my exams finish on the 8th of february but I don't know when the next semester will start, but then would be a good time for me as I'll be busy until my exams finish.

Oh, and if someone could find a shop there that sells Cripple C.ock* scrumpy I'd be most appreciative.

*And by C.ock I really do mean male chicken.

Well I like my CD player in my car so I'm up for a meet in Feb, though avoiding the 3rd would be schweet. Any ideas when you'd all like to?

Just give me a day or two to sort out the FF-UK calendar 2007, then I can post some more about this meet. Lady Poison has nearly got me convinced to come down, I just have to work out an ok place to stay in Bath, all the usual suspects are actually quite expensive.

Also, there is an event (a comic con) in Exeter for the 18th Feb I'll post about in next day or so. Bare with me, been at work late tonight.

The 10th or 17th February are the two Saturdays after the 8th. Either's good for me. Do people have preferences?

I am, but I need to work out what weekends I am free. Best thing is this - if you work out when u want to go, go then, if I can't make it I'll do another time. I know Feb and March look busy with seeing people at work on some weekends. I will get that diary up this weekend hopefully. I do want to meet up with my pal Lady P, but I don't want this meet to drag on because of me.
