Are the Welshies any good with computers?

    If you are, (BOTH of you! :p ) can you help me?
    I need Toshiba recovery disks for a (apparently) TECRA A3, model number- PTA30E-01602C91
    WOAH, that's a mouthful.
    Thankies for looking.
    I need these discs to restart my laptop...

    Righto.
    It's acting INCREDIBLY slow, and won't load some programs...
    In fact, it takes a good 12 minutes to start up now...

    What is wrong with that? That is enough time to have a sandwich and brew a good cup of tea and sit down and relax.

    Yeah, but I can't open programs either...
    I need to get the Toshiba CDs...

    The only thing I can suggest is that you re-install the operating system, though without the disks, that could be a problem.

    Yah. Well now it's just slow when I load it. When it's loaded it's perfectly fine and fast.
    But the loading up still takes 12 minutes which is REALLY annoying!

    Have you tried the tech support of the manufacturer of the laptop?

    Toshiba just directed me to several hard to navigate sites, most of which seem to be now defunct...

    Gah, no hope.
    My computer literacy skills suck when I have to navigate on flashy button websites.
    Whatever happened to good ole' SIMPLICITY!!!!!????

    Not much money to be made in doing things that are easy. Best make them complicated so normal people can't do them and have to pay a fortune to the Bill Gates of this world in order to get it fixed.

    I'd pay a fortune for someone to have a nice website that was easy to navigate rather than having to revert to the search button to find some damn CD's.
    I hate some sites...

    I may have the recovery cd's at work, I'll check tomorrow and get back. Would you be able to return them?

    I might pop into the local computer shop and beg them, they hate me because...
    Well I don't know, I bought a USB cable and the guy just seems to hate me.

    It's funny, the laptop is ACTUALLY not working at all now, so I have to steal mom's computer...

    I found the address on Toshiba's website for Customer Services and sent a cheque in, now I'm waiting for that to clear and for the CD's to be sent...
