Are there Varactyls on Kashyyyk

When the Wookie start to run onto the beach in the Battle of Kashyyyk I could have sworn I heard a Varactyl yelp.

Varactyl=Boga's species

But in a recent SW Insider I thought it said they're native to Utpapu but I pretty sure I heard one. Pop in the DVD and check for yourself

Yep. Also many animals can sound very much like others. The stupid mockingbirds around here will really fool anybody. Maybe Kashyykk has mockingbocas.

 

I've seen a thread on this before and I'll give you the same answer I did with the other one. The noise you heard was probably a trumpet or some sort of horn by the Wookiees. Is it possible that Boga's species could be on Kashyyyk? Yes it is. However, Boga's species did not make that noise.

I prefer speculation instead of hard answers to things that aren't included in the films. That is a core part of Star Wars: it's a universe in itself and not everything can be portrayed in films which leads to the audience's sense of wonderment of what is beyond what we actually see on screen....

 

Well said, their ability to climb was probably invaluable to the wookies. There might have been one there, or maybe the Sound Editor stuck it in there.
