All right...here's a brief idea..from my ridiculously active imagination...

It is 2222. The human race finds itself in a time of transition. Earth still exists, but colonization efforts led by the Human Armed Military Force and the Union Aerospace Corporation have resulted in the successful population of twenty-six planets, sixty moons, and two asteroids spread across a massive wedge of the galaxy stretching from its exact centre to the very edge. The development of faster-than-light travel in 2095 (called altspace) has been their best asset in this wildly successful effort. No longer confined to Earth, the population of the human race has exploded, now surpassing one hundred trillion.

Though the galaxy is at relative peace, with the occasional brief rebellion sparking up on occasion, the HAMF and UAC continue to build up their fleets of warships, as well as their ground-based militaries. Projectile weapons still exist and remain in wide use, but the UAC's raw-plasma weapons and experimental laser weapons are gaining notoriety and acceptance. Performance-enhancing equipment is commonplace within both militaries.

With all these achievments in science, weapons, and space travel, the future of the human race appears bright. No hostile alien race like science fiction novels have described for hundreds of years has attempted to destroy humanity; thus, it is widely believed that we are alone in this galaxy...
