    Some reports that the main characters will be kids in the GB3.

    Why?

    Why?

    Why is this hard?

    Well you can bet the protagonists won't be the 60 year olds from the original movie. But then again, I could be wrong. We all know how Hollywood loves to churn out these comedies with the over-the-hill, past-their-prime actors making an attempt to relive their glory days.

    @DarthMane2

    The problem I see with that is that in none of the official Ghostbusters cannon did any of them get married and have kids. Venkman was back with Dana at the end of Ghostbusters 2 but none of the cannon ever talks about them having kids. Ditto Ray,Eagon and Winston. Not sure how that is all going to work.

    On a more positive note, Ernie Hudson was very excited and said "Everyone's in" when ask about GB20. That is a lot better then Ghostbusters 16 when it came out the origial cast was basically forced to be in it despite the film having nothing to do with the original universe.

    Janine liked Egon in the first movie however she hook up with Louis in the second movie. I totally forgot about Oscar though. :)

    In the Real Ghostbusters cartoon, didn't Janine put on the suit at one point and take on some ghosts with Slimer? Maybe her son would take up the cause; or grandson? It's been 30 years since GB2, right?

    I'm sorry, but I'm just sick of seeing that kid with the curly hair in the annoying FIOS commercials. What TV show is this?

    99% chance that you care more about this problem than anyone who might be writing the script.

    @Sith_Sensei__Prime

    That's ironic you post a Stranger Things GIF since if the rumors are true, #GB20 is trying to tap into Stranger Things popularity. I really don't see how diffiult it is to make the main characters in their late earlies/forties as they would been kids in the 1980's and are buying a franchise which Peter even talk about in the first movie.

    I always felt like that line was there way of creating sequels/spinoffs.

    here's an idea, if it's a spinoff with a younger cast maybe they could be women?

    Italian Alita trailer with a lot of new footage. The whole thing is a series of motorball sequences.

    Ugh, let's just show the whole damn movie a month before it's release. It's so annoying when these studios show the biggest scenes of their movies. There is such a thing as spoiling. I haven't read all of the Manga series, so the Motorball sequences are new to me.

    I think this movie is a hard sell to western, particularly US, audiences. If previous anime-to-live-action titles are any indication,it was always going to be. And the decision to stay so close to her appearance in the manga doesn't help, at all. I think their strategy has been to use more full action sequences in the trailers to help people get over the uncanny valley effect and buy into this being something that needs to be seen on the big screen.

    But yeah it does feel like I've seen an unusually high amount of this movie already.
