Before. If I have my dates right, the special was in 1987 and Paul Reubens (aka Pee-Wee) was arrested in 1991.

I remember leaving my shoes outside my door the next before St Nick's, but can't remember why. The only thing I remember was getting candy in my stinky shoe!

I remember learning about it in grammar school and doing it for a few years. It is a Dutch tradition if my memory serves me correct.

Remember when you got popcorn when you went to the movies, and didn't think about the butter clogging your arteries?

Twin Fair... How about Two Guys, King's, Norbans, Kresge's, Hens & Kelly's, Wm. Hengerers, Sattler's, Woolworth's (with the lunch counter), Gallenkamp Shoes, Liberty Shoes, and A.M. & A's (downtown with the Christmas displays in the windows?)

I remember those honey. :) Used to go to Woolworths and have lunch at that counter with my mom, that was such a treat!
I remember going to the Boulevard Mall with my mom and watching in awe the Christmas displays in the windows at the major department stores; ya know the windows inside the main walkway of the mall. I also remember when the Boulevard Mall ended where the Limited is now and when it didnt have a food court, but it had a grocery store! I believe there used to be a skating rink in the middle of the mall as well. There was also a bowling alley where Friday/Sears is now... used to go there with Rob when we were in high school.
Anyone remember the Thruway Mall, when it actually was a mall? I always loved going there because it had all those stairs and ramps.
I remember when my mom had a fit because gasoline got up to 70 cents a gallon!
Remember when a phone call was only 10 cents.
Remember when there was an East and West Germany.
Remember the bunny ears on the televisions, with dial turners for the channels, in black and white and no remotes.
Remember when a brand new car was advertised on tv for only $3000!
