Solo Background Characters

Really hoping for Evazen and Ponda to show up in Solo. Perhaps seated at a corner table in the Lodge on Vandor, scowling at a passing by Chewbacca.
It would be hilarious if Lucasfilm doubled down on the criticism of their cameo in R1. “Oh really, gratuitous? Well here they are again.”

If any ANH cantina patron deserves to appear it should be Greedo, he seems to have a rivalry that goes back some time.

 

I would greatly enjoy that.

Heck I’d greatly enjoy seeing any classic aliens in the background

Where are they during this time period? I wasn’t aware they appeared in the new canon outside of R1/ANH.

I always loved those guys from the old EU, and was pretty stoked at the mythology R1 built around them with the decraniated and Tam Posla. Very cool.

Wow. FOR ME, that singer was the best part of that Denny's commercial. It OOOZED Star Wars.

 

Agreed. Though it also oozed Mongolian throat-singing. Which it 100% was.

 

The Decraniated from Rogue One was in the latest trailer.

New Solo featurette on Facebook has a few new scenes.

Including a giant worm like thing and an alien female whose hand Lando kisses. Same species as a canto bight casino patron

Well, looks like we have our Rathtar/Bor Gullet.

 

I don’t see them either, although I certainly hope it’s true that they appear. Along with Posla, this bolsters my hope that Evazen and Ponda cameo in Solo.

Love the design of the White Worms and especially the towering queen creature rising from the muck. Great design, Moloch looks more like a dinosaur than I expected without his head gear.

Rathtar/Bor Gullet/Dianoga/Space Slug/Jabba/Rancor...

I think this one is of the Jabba variety. The sentient leader of a gang, rather than a mindless monster.

 

As long as he has tentacles. That's all I ask.

We have Space Chulthu too.

 

Banner days for tentacled SW backgrounders. Throw in a single Quarren or Rathtar and it's a record, I figure.

Oh, the irony that the one SW species literally named "Man Squid" has no tentacles. Oh well... is there a species name attached to the tentacle in Jabba's dungeon? Let's have them in there too, shall we?

To defeat him, you must engage him in the water, wearing armour made entirely of lightsaber blades.

 

The whole 'White Worms' thing is a bit confusing. We see quite a few of the gang gathered around the pool and they are obviously not of the same species as Moloch. Additionally we are informed that Moloch is the Leader of the White Worms so the thing coming out of the pool is something else. Perhaps a test for Solo of some kind?

 

I think "White Worms" is the gang name. And the Worm in the pool is the mob boss.

Maybe Moloch's species has significant gender dimorphism
