Well that thread is getting a little over crowded, im calm and rational about this so lets have a nice discussion about this

but, for the record, I have to say I really like it.

Although, perhaps the red writing should be blue. Doesn't stand out too well in red IMO.

 

This ones all cleaned up and blended to make it work, I dont wish to argue about this. I would like your opinions about this and what you do and dont like about it

 

I like this one, the only problems I had with the first version you've finished doing.

Does it resize automatically or will I forever miss the figures at the edges?

is there not something more....subtle we can use instead of the flag?

Bland yes, but everyone didnt like it too complicated, the people I will move a little more to the left for thos of you in a small screen res

 

Normal screen res, you mean? 800 x 600

Remember, these PCs are WORK PCs and some of us arent allowed to be messing around with the resolution.

So how much of this banner ^^^^^ can you see Cass, I can see Yoda,Mace,Mace, Plo Koon, Arena Jedi, Female, Jedi and Mace Yoda in that coridor.

 

Okay...constructive comments from a design point of view..

1) The flag is a cliche that should be avoided..I'm afraid asthetically the union jack and Star wars do not go

2) I'm no overly keen on the font...or maybe it's the colour, how about making it more 3D and doing it in silver with a slight suggestion of a reflection of Darth Vader?

3) Less is more is good...but I'm not a 100% sure on the compostion..

4) Personally I would avoid all suggestion of either Star Wars or the UK and just do something that would make you smile when you entered every morning...ie crap charactures of the members looking like the silliest band of jedi knights that ever exsisted...

Remember the job of a designer is not to re-arrange..it's to re-invent..

 

Paul, you need to make it 800 pixels across... in-fact, a little less than that to take into consideration the scrollbar.

 

I like it being UK influenced.

Font I agree on the composition im not sure about too much 'gap' there??

Sam the whole bannder fits aprox 1280x1280 so I have had to extend it therefore, some of us are running a 19" monitor here at that res

 

Thats why I had the Rebel Monkey in mines...you could hardly see the flag and it had a monkey.

Aruns suggestion would still have a UK influence if we were all caracatures dressed as jedi's...even with maybe straightjackets on...since its supposed to be the Padded Cell.

Although, I prefer the logo on our website with the XXXX in it.

And the Font is the EP1 font Arun.

2. Jedid's In straight jacket- Ill give it a go.
3. The font colour should be a Silver or Gold Maybe??

So the resolution isn't just me... I'm running 1024x800 here at work and it still was off the right hand side...

You'll need to make it no more than 1024 res, maybe even just 800 perhaps. The one here on these boards is fine. How does it appears on everyone else's?
