Baltimore has 6 wins against the Yankees after today, their highest number of wins against any single team this season. They can thank the Yankees for helping them get over the 1962 Mets threshold for worst team in baseball history.

So we'll talk about that Division contention tomorrow, right?

Braves only have 2 games over the Phills...to put into perspective our last 6 games are against them and the Mets who still have a shot...

Uh this Orioles team is tough. Fortunately after today the Yankees only have three more games against them later on this month.

How long before football season starts?

 

I checked the Brewers score earlier, and they were losing 5-1 in the top of the ninth. Wrote the game off, obvious loss. I get the final score alert a while later, Milwaukee 6-5. On a walk-off grand slam.

With the Mets blowing their game, Michael Kay is excited that again he'll have something else to talk about during his radio show tomorrow to shift the focus away from the Yankees.

 

who on the seven seas is Kriske, when did he join our roster and why is he playing in the top of the 9th. Hope he never has a shot again. Like, wtf. Luckily the Red Sox suck or our wildcard spot would be more in serious jeapordy than it already is.

 

It's nice to be at the time of the season where I am numb to the blown leads, otherwise this weekend would have been exhausting.

I was about to post a meme suggesting he was a dumpster dive acquisition; but it's worse - he came from the vaunted Yankees' farm system.

 

No need to panic everyone, Sandy Alderson just casually dropped the news that Jacob deGrom had a partial tear of his UCL, but it "resolved itself."

Apparently the same thing happened with Masahiro Tanaka. The Yankees decided not to subject him to TJ surgery over the years, and he was actually fine for the most part through his last year. Only thing is that he obviously dropped the velocity on his pitches. DeGrom obviously can't just keep throwing his arm out like he did during the first half of this season.
