Twins games with the Angels got canceled this weekend do to a COVID outbreak, too many idiot players on this team choosing to not get vaccinated. Yes I’m looking at you Andrelton Simmons.

 

Yes the Red Sox are wearing yellow because of the Boston Marathon. I like them tbh, they remind me of my Babe Ruth teams uniforms, except light blue was the primary and yellow the secondary. They also remind me of the Philadelphia Eagles' weird yellow and blue 1920s (30s?) throwback jerseys haha

 

Jay Bruce retires.

 

This Yankees team is just historically bad at hitting. Not that I really believe he makes a difference, but I can't picture the hitting coach surviving past this year.

We got like a quarter of our team injured. Fried, Soroka, Martin, Albies, Inciarte, Newcomb, Smyly, and now Acuna.

Does this remind you of a playoff team? If we want to talk historical; this start is historical in that the Yankees haven't had a worse start since the 90s.

 

and we all remember how terrible the Yankees were in the late 90's. Nobody wants to see the Yankees having the kind of seasons they had in the late 90's.

 

I understand it's still early, but you can't honestly tell me that this current team gives you any hints of the 90s dynasty team. What bothers me is that there really are no excuses. Yeah, Voit has been out and will return soon. That's it. The pitching has been mediocre at best. Right now I trust anyone in the rotation not named Cole about as far as I can throw them. And so far the hitting hasn't been able to bail them out yet.

 

Javier Baez reportedly turned down an $180 million extension:



Yeah good luck buddy getting anywhere that type of dough someplace else especially since a lot of teams are set at SS. Cubs now over the past few seasons have made major extension offers to Arrieta, Bryant, Hendricks, Rizzo and Bryant that were all considered fair market contracts. With the exception of Hendricks, all of them were turned down. Ironically Hendricks is the one player I think the Cubs gave a low ball contract extension as he most likely could have gotten more money elsewhere. The rest? Yeah again good luck or simply talk to Jake. Cubs made him an contract extension in 2016, Jake refused saying his price was "10 years and $200 million" therefore wound up signing for a lot less money with the Phillies then had he just stayed. My guess is Bryant, Rizzo and Baez will have the same fate.

 

Yeah, Baez should jump on that. Correa, Seager, Story, are all free agents after the year and there are only so many teams that can give $200M or $300M deals. Baez also has a lot of holes in his offense and I cannot imagine he ages all that well.

I’d like to change the extra innings runner on second rule.

Change it so it no longer exists to be precise.

 

Why? It's about the first interesting they done in a long time. They also need to get rid of interleague play, make the ballparks bigger, make the DH universal, put the pitchers mound back a foot and have automatic balls and strikes call.

And that is just for starters.
