    lmao honestly I prob wouldn't have cared about this game w/o that, after I posted the Arya gif I started work on photoshopping her killing him and was determined to post it

    I'm actually surprised everyone didn't rally around "Greep Marpo" so that a not-real-Star-Wars-character would win the Star Wars game in the JCC

    I tipped my hand with Lando too soon I think. Thought I would have Coruscants help too but by the time I realized I didn’t it was too late to stop him.

    Lando stayed under the radar and managed to get way deeper in the game than I thought he would. By the same reason, nobody was that invested in him, so once people turned on him there was no support.

    We tried Stranger Things. Didn’t work

    Out of boredom I looked up a couple of older battles.

    MCU one from two years ago was about 300 pages and lasted 15 days.

    GoT from last year was 726 pages and lasted nearly two months.

    vastly more characters of course, but still an eye watering amount of extra time and pages.

    I have to blame lockdown for the speed of this game.

    The lockdown definitely affected the speed, but as tom noted the GoT point counts were crazy high. IIRC getting Bear to the top slot required north of 600 points, which is astronomical by this game's standards.

    Well that was fun. I'm glad Pao got 2nd and/or 3rd (hard to tell at the end there lol. Thanks tom and others for sticking with him to the end [face_peace]). For a character with only one line in one movie and a ridiculously long name that's pretty fitting for a JCC survival battle. It was all just fun after all, but at least my stubborn persistence paid off.

    Couldn't really participate in this one, but Max Rebo would've been my dude. Him or a small handful of others. That would've been tough, though. Max, even though kinda silly and semi-obscure, was probably a little too mainstream to have any realistic shot once people turned their eyes on him.

    the best thing about this survival battle was something i took for granted until it was over. while it was happening i never clicked on any senate threads.
