I knew I would get people's attention. I am heading to the Helena MT thread for a cold one.
HEY!!! You find you're OWN hideout! Helena is mine.
But if you are gonna stop by, bring me a Leinie Honey Weiss, would ya?
Oh, man. Here we go again! Remember people, we've got minors here!
Beer... beer is the piss that comes from a true drinker. Beer is the crap you ingest when your life depends on getting a cheap, stomach-ache-inducing buzz, and even then only grudgingly. What a waste of time, energy, and hops.
"Gin makes a man mean!"
Hey JJ, you snooz you looz!! I had notice that you never showed yourself there so I figured I would start it back up again.
May I remind our esteemed and intoxicated Penguin of the long and delightful history of barley, hops & yeast. And if you all think that those mass produced ales and lagers make for good drinking, invest a little bit of cash for a well crafted and delicious taste of heaven.
Maybe beer does have a long history, but then so does malaria.
Ooooooh, scathing commentary from Steph!
First time I saw this topic, I was instantly reminded of the "Beer" song... it's a somewhat traditional tune that can be heard at RennFaires and the like. I have it on one of my "Minstrels of Mayhem" CDs... a fun little ditty, that.
Those faires have a lot of songs dedicated to some form of alcohol or another, did you know that?
Strange Brew! enough said!
I particularly like Guinness. I had my first Guinness when I met Jeremy Bulloch, a really cool guy.
There a quite a few funny songs about beer: "In Heaven, There Is No Beer" by Clean Living, Brave Combo, and many others, "Free Beer" by Da Yoopers, "Save the Beer" by Faust & Lewis, "Nine Coronas" by John Mammoser, and tons more.
Thank you, Phil... I have a flash animation thingy with "Nine Coronas", but never knew who sang it until now.
