It?s wonderfully sweet without being gooey. If you need a brighter glimpse of the post-NJO future after reading too much angst then this is the perfect viggie.

Heaven forbid, this story has probably set the record for longest WIP [face_wink] Personally, I found this story over at ff.net and followed it over here sometime around Jan of '02. And I'm not the only nut that has waited around to see this finished so that just goes to show how good this story really is [face_applause]

Do you want a wild and original AU storyline with steamy (but minimal and tasteful) J/J romance, classic Han lines, X-wing jocks, all three Solo kids, Chiss, Imperials and an SSD? Look no further my friends, it's all here [face_devil] Personally, my favorite part was when they evacuated the Jedi Academy (Jaina and Jag fighting off the bad guys together and running thru the jungle [face_blush] ). And all the explosions, did I mention there are lots of explosions? And cliffies, and the Fel family and oh, a teensy weensy proposal [face_love] So what are you waiting for?

This is what Tkeira Lea did with her 5 part vignette series that takes place before and during Dark Tide: Ruin. The story resolves around young Colonel Jagged Fel and his first trip to the Known Regions. We learn what made him go to Ithor and why was he so interested in Jaina in the first place.

The plot is great and writing is very well done. The main characters are really well written and we get much more inside of their life and experience. One of my favourite stories. This is a must read for Jagged Fel fans.

Well, the Summer 2005 Awards are done, and so is most of my college visiting. I'll be trying to finish getting the index completely set up this week, and hopefully a newsletter out this weekend.

[SEPTEMBER 2005 NEWSLETTER]

*waves* Well, here's our first newletter in the new index! A lot has happened since we moved, primarily being, well, we moved. If for any reason any of your information is missing from the index or incorrect, please send a PM to Jaina_Jag_Index and let us know so we can fix it. We also opened up a fanart art index, and have already received several fantastic submissions.

However, due to the strains of senior year, and the fact that I'm already sick, and it's only two weeks in, I (Lt_Jaina_Solo) will be stepping down as manager of this index. I feel that I can't put the time and effort in that it deserves- I barely even get to the JC anymore, and typically it's just to check up on the index. Everyone, I hope you take the time to thank LJS for all the hard work she's done on behalf of the Index. There is a lot of time that goes into what you see here. I mean look at all the markup codes! With that said, anyone who volunteers won't be dropped into this alone. There are two other managers to help out, JAGSGURL15 and myself. Although we'll both admit that what LJS does is the most time intensive. Anyway, if you're interested let us know and we can explain the specifics of what's needed from the third manager. (LJS, maybe you could post a specific list of your duties )

Alright, we have gotten offers of assistance from three people: BigFatty, FelsGoddess, and NYCitygurl, which is brilliant. I really appreciate it, if only as one less thing for me to worry about.

My position as an index manager consisted of multiple aspects. I check Jaina_Jag_Index regularly, and copy-paste it into a word document. If I have time, I do markups then; if I don't, I do markups when I'm prepping the newletter. I upload any fanarts we receive to the Jaina/Jag Index photobucket account. And I insert the new stories/authors into the various Word Documents that are home to the Jaina/Jag Index. (All of the word documents and folders take up about 2.35 MB, as an aside).

Coding the newsletters can take several hours- yesterday's took me from eight o'clock to almost midnight, so four hours. You run into a lot of coding glitches since there is so much of it. It's mostly time consuming, and sometimes you have to track down authors who sent in their information but forgot parts of it, etc.

However, I won't be leaving whoever gets my job on the lurch. I'll give them my AIM SN/email address so if there's a problem, or they have a question, they can ask me for help.
