Ben Skywalker: So Much Potential, So Little Attention (Character/Development Discussion Thread)

Oh wouldn't that be interesting? Ben having a twin. I know it's no exactly cannon, but two identical Skywalkers. I smell trouble.

 

Well this thread has too many interesting ideas to die.

 

I agree. Um, I'm 17 pages into an AU Ben fic (no Vong invasion). That's rather interesting, but none of it's typed up yet.

I think of Ben as having Luke's dedication to the Jedi, Mara's wit, and Anakin Skywalker's impatience and temper. Excellent with a sabre, good with a blaster, great pilot, decent at hand-to-hand combat. Obviously extremely powerful.

 

What about this idea. What if Ben met Vader/Anakin after accidentally travelling back in time? hmmm. what do you think Ben's reactions could be, how would he feel about his grandfather being a Sith?
How would he feel about his mother being the emperor's assassin?
or that his father turned to the darkside once?

In other words how well do you think Ben will take it when he is old enough to hear about his parents past and his Grandfather's past?

 

I think that Ben will not be very loyal to the Jedi, maybe averagely so at best. I do, however, think he will be a ridiculously excellent pilot, hand to hand fighter, and swordsman, but I don't think he'll be anywhere above average with a blaster.

Ben will probably be scared for his future after hearing about his parents' past. I can't see Ben being anything but terrified of the dark side. Kinda like Anakin Solo.

Since this is the Ben Skywalker thread....I'd like to ask y'all a stupid question. I've completeley blanked out and so I want you all to answer it for me...at about 6 months after the Vong War is over, how old would Ben be?

 

Three. Maybe three and a couple months...

What if Ben was not Force sensitive. What do you think his character would be like then?

 

Plenty of ideas. I'm thinking of writing another fic centered aropund Ben Skywalker, the first one would be him as a seventeen year old under the apprenticeship of Jacen Solo.

I really think that Ben would become something like his grandfather, I don't see him becoming like Jacen, I bet he will see plenty of action and adventure.

What do you think?

EDIT: No Forcer powers, now that would be interesting.

 

I think that he would be like his grandfather too except unlike Anakin Skywalker, Ben has a mother 'and' a father. Plus he does not nead to leave them in order to learn about the Force.

Ben may feel more secure then his grandfather was but everything else seems to fit.

 

Yeah, I could see that. A big problem with Anakin was that he didn't have any parents or at least when he was going through his training, but Ben on the otherhand does and that would probably show in his character.

 

True but then Ben could have a really stubborn and independent streak that makes him seem like his Grandfather.

 

I wrote Ben like that, and it is really easy to see Ben as a very arrogant person, seeing as he comes from the strongest line of Jedi and naturally he would be very strong in the Force.

 

I think if Ben wasn't Force-sensitive he'd end up something lie his Uncle Han. He does just fine in a family full of Jedi.

I can picture Ben with a blaster at his hip and a vibro blade strapped to his ankle.

I think he would be interesting, but I can't imagine the son of Luke Skywalker not being able to use the Force. What would he be if he wasn't a Jedi, a smuggler or something?

 

I can see him being a smuggler. I can also see him as a spy.

 

The Smuggling Adventures of Ben Skywalker...

Or...The Jedi Adventures of Ben Skywalker.

Hmmm...

I must say that I think Ben would be best as a Jedi, but who knows.

 

Alright i have another idea. What if Ben was born disabled in some way?
