I'm curious to see how people rank Disney's contributions to the ongoing saga of Star Wars. Rank and rate, if that's your thing!

    Rogue One

It just hit all the right Star Wars beats for me in terms of story, characters, visuals and the world building itself. The daring story of how the rebel spy's we heard about in the opening crawl of A New Hope actually got the Death Star plans really felt like a natural expansion of those few words.

Rogue One, although Solo would not be too far behind.

So far, from what I’ve seen (I haven’t seen SOLO yet), ROGUE ONE is my favorite, simply because it’s so close to the OT, for which I admit I have a bias. But the ST, so far, is also very good. I don’t have real problems with it. It’s just that ROGUE ONE was so very well done and resonated with me so much (I’m an original 1977 kid) that it’s hard to say any of the others are better. Plus Chirrut and Baze’s sacrifices really touched my heart.

Easily Rogue One. For starters*, it's the only Disney era film so far that didn't make me cringe even one time!

(*I have other, more "positive" and substantive reasons for putting it in the top spot as well...but I'm too tired right now to elaborate further:p)

The Last Jedi, followed by The Force Awakens, Solo, and Rogue One in that order.

I really like them all. Solo from the two times I have seen it really takes the cake.

To me they're all quite even & I'd change my selection regularly between all 4.

TFA: The most "Star Wars" of the 4. The one that captured the magic & mythical feeling better than the others, despite some derivative elements.
R1: The most awesome & exciting. The best thrill ride.
TLJ: The best looking, most beautifully made & most bonkers & out-there. More of a unique journey.
Solo: Breezy, fun, accessible & with the most likeable & appealing lead character.

Haven't seen Solo yet but I'd go with:

    R1
    TFA
    TLJ

R1 is the only one I like, although Solo looks decent as well.

    1. Rogue One
    2. Solo
    3. TFA
    4. TLJ

So far I've liked both anthologies, while liking almost nothing from either of the sequel movies.

TFA for me, slightly over TLJ. I love the brightness and color of it (reminds me of the PT, my original SW love), and attached to the new characters quickly - especially in how they interacted with Han and Leia.

Solo is a bit over R1, have some significant issues with the "rushed" feel of that whole movie. But I like them all.

Oops, I forgot about the Dr. Evazan cameo in RO...tho really, that elicited more of a good-hearted figurative facepalm from me, rather than an actual cringe:p

(For the record, even tho I love all of GL's films, most of them also have at least one similar facepalm/cringe-y moment for me as well...:D)

For the further record, I am of the strong opinion that all Star Wars films are GL films as he is the creator of the universe. Disney just owns them.

The Last Jedi for me - thought all four are pretty close and might flip flop over time. Solo might end up being the one that's the easiest for me to watch repeatedly though, as it's much more of a standalone and I think perhaps the "most fun" out of any of them.

There are so many reasons R1 is one of my favorite movies and definitely my top Disney SW, but I'll single out the general atmosphere. More than any other Disney SW, it felt like a part of the OT universe in an authentic, lived-in way that gave me that classic feeling of awe for the gffa. It made me want more Jedha, more Rings of Kafrene, more Guardians of the Whills, more Rebel spies, more seas of TIE fighters attacking, more Raddus, etc.

I also really enjoyed Solo, it's definitely growing in my esteem more and more, but the only thing that movie had that felt at that level to me was Enfys Nest and her crew.

    Rogue One
    Solo

God, Enfys Nest was such a cool character. I left the theater wanting to see so much more of her.
