This was actually a tricky one for me, as The Hunger and Near Dark are 2 of the most original Vamp movies I've ever seen.

But, i voted Interview with the Vampire, as I am a huge fan of the books, as most of you know, and also, it was a great transition from book to screen.

Ohhhhhhh!!! There's no way I can decide between those you scoundrel!

Though... Interview with the Vampire might just tip it because Antonio Banderas is in it [face_love]

Edit - Except Queen of the Damned because that's utter arse for the most part!

Indeed, QotD was an awefull film. Well, if it wasn't meant to be a film version of the book, it would be ok, but as it is based on the book....

They left just about all of the important stuff out, not to mention most of the central characters from the book!

That was a tough one between interview with the vampire and Bram Stoker's version. But chose Bram Stoker's one in the end.

It is a hard topic to choose your favourite, but all the ones i have included are the best ones, in one way or another.

I could have added quite a different selection, but they are all pants lol

Has to be Interview With The Vampire, simply because it's the only one I've seen all the way through!

    Oh and because it rocks!

Nosferatu I saw the end of, it was kinda cool, same with The Lost Boys!

Also when I was little I watched a vampire movie, it scared the heck out of me, and I've never forgotten it!The thing from it that sticks in my mind most of all from it though was a scene where a guy had just been attacked by a vampire(possibly one of Dracula's brides) and was lying on some straw in a barn or mill and put holy water on the bite marks that were on his neck! Then the bite marks faded away!

Ring a bell anyone? doubt it though!

I'm reading Dracula at the moment, pretty cool, though I haven't gotten very far!

My vote is for Nosferatu (I hope Murnau's), it's really thrilling to see Max Shreck walking around with those terrifying long arms with claws, and the face!!
That look is just great. Scary.

By the way , where's The Shadow of the Vampire?
    Dafoe was great.

I watched Interview again tother night, just to remind me why it's so great lol

Brams was a good film, although, I wasn't too impressed with Winnona 'hide yer valuables' Ryders performance.

Actually, that was the first film I noticed Antonio Banderas in!

I've seen a preview for Shrek 2, so now because of Puss In Boots(voiced by Banderas) I'm not gonna be able to take Armand seriously in IWTV next time I watch it!

Plus from reading the books I imagined Armand differently to Banderas!

    I vote Lost Boys. :D

"My own brother, a god damned ****-suckin' vampire! You just wait 'til Mom finds out!"

    Classic!!

However, I'd like to have seen From Dusk 'til Dawn on that shortlist.

    I'm very disappointed, Yoshee. [face_not_talking]

    hmmmm

    Best vampire movie ever.....

well until they make a movie of my life I think I'll vote for Interview with the vampire purely because of the book as I haven't seen the film.

By the way, anyone who likes vampires, guns and anime/manga and the combination of all 3 should look at Hellsing by Kohuta Hirano. Way cool.
