Don't know if any of you have seen this clip, it doesn't concentrate of The Narnia series as such, but it is mentioned. Within it there is a side remark of the remaining 6 Narnia movies, whether they will be made in New Zealand or not.

Check it out! (Close Up:Major Movie Deal [6:26])

Weezer, I thought it was just an altered slipcover. I guess I'll be keeping it. ;)

Conor, the DVD is great. The transfer is superb. ROTS good. And that's saying something.

    You don't keep slipcovers?

It was just a very odd question. Its even listed as one of the "features" of the two disc set :p

I do keep slipcovers, but usually flatten them. I just wish they hadn't put so many stickers on it. They could have a least wrapped it in plastic or put a larger slipcover over the case.

I picked up the Deluxe Edition yesterday, but probably won't be able to actually see the movie until this weekend.

    Stickers can be a pain.

I just opted for the barebones and will wait it out for the box set. :p
My roommate is looking forward to seeing this for the first time this weekend. I assume he'll be pleasantly surprised. At the very least, we'll crack Ras-al Gul jokes during Aslan's lines.

I'm surprised you're not doing Qui-Gon jokes as well. Those would definitely be just as good.

Yeah, but this is my favorite:
    (Aslan joins the battle)

    Jadis: Impossible!
As-lan Gul: Is As-lan Gul immortal? Or are his methods supernatural?

    :p

    And it works, too.

I don't see a problem in obtaining the on-location continuity in NZ, but they can do bluescreen/greenscreen anywhere. It's just that NZ is the Hollywood Down Under now.

New Zealand is definitely the perfect place for these new fantasy movies coming out. Peter Jackson started it all with the LOTR movies. NZ made the perfect Middle Earth and now it makes the perfect Narnia.

I finally got to see the film this weekend. I really enjoyed it, and feel that some of the changes they made were vast improvements over the book. My only complaint is that the effects seem to have started and stopped with Aslan. Everything else looked a bit off and sometimes even really bad. Not what I'd expect from the Academy Award winner for Best Special Effects.

I agree that they weren't LOTR effects, but still contributed to the film in a postiive way. Aslan was without question the best effect of the film. The beavers were quite believable as well, especially with the lip synching and gestures they exhibited.

I remember that one part where the Witch and Edmund are on the sleigh going across the big flat snowy plain. The CG on the sleigh there looked really bad, especially on the snow shooting up from the skis.
