ST Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) in Episode IX

Thanks for jogging my memory....I just want to see his outfit now.

 

Hard to be excited for a Lando return when he is probably going to die horribly. I don't want to see that.

 

Bold Prediction! Lando won't die.

 

Nah, they won't kill off Lando. Or Chewie. No way. And the droids won't be destroyed. Han was a special case for multiple reasons. And his death helped propel the story. Luke's death, eh, well, that's a head scratcher, honestly. Leia, no. I don't think the blatant intent is to kill off these OT characters. It just sorta seems that way. But Lando I think is safe.

 

I think Leia, Lando, Chewie, Threepio and Artoo are safe. Luke is technically safe as well, since he's essentially immortal now.

Poor Han got the short end of the stick, even if his death worked as far as the plot is concerned.

 

Hoping for a brief hologram appearance by Han as well as a flashback with younger Han, too, in Episode 9. Please JJ give us a little more Han to finish out the saga!

 

Leia: Same shirt!

Lando: Different shirt. Oh who am I kidding? It is basically the same shirt.

 

Bold prediction 2: Lando gets the Falcon again and flies away safely.

 

They have to pry the Falcon away from him somehow.

 

I hope they don't X-Force him.

 

Not even Lando could get away from the constant ugly earth color tones of the good guys.

 

I do not know but something tells me that Lando will stole the movie

 

That would be hair raising.

 

Chewie may have words...(I mean, growls).

 

I reckon there will be scene where he goes into the Falcon's walk-in wardrobe and sees the yellow shirt and say "Hey i wonder if it still fits, the chicks loved me in that".

 

Rumours say Lando will only have a small role but I'm ok with that cause it will be fantastic just to see him back......

Lando was in the trailer people!

 

Seeing Lando in the trailer was a definite highlight for me. His laugh and smile really brings me back to the OT. The guy seems so happy to be here and it really shines through. I really hope that the Falcon ends up with Lando at the end of the film.

This makes me so happy. I didn't really think it would happen, but I'm very glad the character (and BDW) is part of the ST. One of the many things I really liked about this trailer...

 

if the A plot is our heroes facing off against Palpatine and the B plot is basically just Chewie, Lando and Artoo kicking First Order all of the place I'm okay with that.

still get the feeling Lando will have a chat with L3 in the Falcon navicomputer somehow.

 

Goodness, Billy was great in that short clip we got of him. I have to say, it pains me to see him that cheerful in a trilogy I don't consider to exist.
