    [blockquote]Hey... oooh...
Sheets of empty canvas, untouched sheets of clay
Were laid spread out before me as her body once did.
All five horizons revolved around her soul
As the earth to the sun
Now the air I tasted and breathed has taken a turn

Ooh, and all I taught her was everything
Ooh, I know she gave me all that she wore
And now my bitter hands chafe beneath the clouds
    Of what was everything.
Oh, the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything...

    I take a walk outside
I'm surrounded by some kids at play
I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear?
Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin round my head
    I'm spinning, oh, I'm spinning
How quick the sun can drop away

And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass
    Of what was everything?
All the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything...

All the love gone bad turned my world to black
Tattooed all I see, all that I am, all I'll be... yeah...
    Uh huh... uh huh... ooh...

I know someday you'll have a beautiful life,
I know you'll be a sun in somebody else's sky, but why
Why, why can't it be, can't it be mine

    Aah... uuh..

Too doo doo too, too doo doo [many times until fade]

    Black

A sea of flickering candles illuminated the cave-like hall. The light was dancing over the uneven walls, totally different to the static glow panels in the world above. It cast shadows, ghostly moving and disappearing again.

Decay lingered in the room, filling the room with its scent. The source of the smell was slain bodies piled up against a wall. Carelessly the corpses had been tossed against it, limbs sprawled wildly at odd angles. Some were missing body-parts, others had been scorched by high energy bolds.

The glow danced over one of the corpse?s face, showing a youthful female face. Dead green eyes stared into the distance, pupils dilated in surprise. Three faint scars marked her forehead.

Strands of blond hair wisped in the light breeze caused by the ventilation units on the ceiling. The light movement of the air just enhanced the stench.

In the centre of the cave stood a working table, a canvas spread over it. A tall man was hovering above it. His figure bended over a lifeless form, shaped like a human body, formed out of dirt. Untouched sheets of clay piled up on a wall, being the supply for more experiences.

He didn?t notice his surroundings. All that mattered was his work, his task.

    It had to work.

Hands, white as the canvas, stroked over the dirt, feeling the texture of their creation. He took in the shape he had formed, the silhouette of the perfection of her leg. It was not comparable with how her real body had been once spread out before him all those years ago.

It felt shallow and empty. There was nothing, just dirt.

In another lifetime it had been pulsating with life and energy.

His palm caressed softly over the soft skin of her ankle. He could feel the soft pulse of her blood flow, the fine reactions of her skin to the warmth of his touch. A finger continues its trail up her leg. The swell of her muscle beneath the skin became prominent. It was different to the bone jutting out at her ankle, just covered by thin skin. The flesh was soft but hard at the same time. It flexed slightly, barely visible for the eye. His finger lingered for a moment, tracing absent patterns before it continued its path upwards.

The swell subsided into the hollow of her knee. Soft skin covered the strong sinews and moved easily over them. He planted a soft kiss on top of her knee cap while his fingers contin

Wow! I never knew angst could be so lyrical. =D= =D= Awesome writing!

Anakin disposing of Tahiri is not something I've read before [face_thinking] I'm used to them being a love pairing [face_dancing] Squee!

Now a Jacen/Anakin duel would be off the charts cool!

    ;)

Wow, very chilling. Fitting how the life he was trying to recreate killed him.

Superbly dark and twisted, I really wouldn't have suspected the end coming at all! This one might have to be added to the faves list =D=

Awesome in a dark, twisted kind of way.

I especially liked how you used the comic story line as an explanation for how Anakin got the information he needed to "create" Tahiri. I'd totally forgotten about that.

    Plotbunnies...here I come. :p

I thought the ending was great. Anakin creating life...it just had to go wrong. He would have killed himself eventually but I thought it was a good way to end -- both dying and more or less finally being together again in the Force.

You can't play God, nobody how much you grieve.

    Wonderful vig, Mags!

Excellent. Reminiscent of a dark Star Wars version of Pigmalion.

I wanted actually to write something for MMM but somehow Anakin had a mind of his own and it didn?t turn out mushy.

Now a Jacen/Anakin duel would be off the charts cool!

    Maybe next time ;)

I thought it fitting too and the story wrote itself into that way as well :D

Beware of the Ceillean plotbunnies XD :p
It would be a bit silly to assume just because the connection was enabled fully there is nothing left of it ... where do his dreams come from for example, his fear must be founded - and that is a nice reason ;)

I thought the ending was great. Anakin creating life...it just had to go wrong. He would have killed himself eventually but I thought it was a good way to end -- both dying and more or less finally being together again in the Force.

Yeah they might be together now :D

You can't play God, nobody how much you grieve.

Nope ... he is just human in the end

    Wonderful vig, Mags!

This reminds me of another story in another fandom... of a person trying to put just one thing right at the cost of everything else. Haunted, driven, blind to all else that moves.

Well done, Maggy. Well done. :)
