There was a news story a couple years back about a man that died. The family blamed the death on his recent prescription to Viagra. The coroner stated the cause of death was "hardening of the arteries".

Coke is my cola of choice, but in fact I'm more likely to pop open a can of Lipton Brisk (no lemon) or Canada Dry than anything else. Or Mountain Dew, if I need a cold caffeine fix....

Hey, y'know, nobody's mentioned RC yet. I used to like RC best, but I think they changed it when they changed the logo, and now it's a bit too acidic for me. Or perhaps it's just 'cause I haven't had any in a while. ::shrug::

Gemini, sorry to burst your bubble, but Australia has a FOUR-page thread. It's called "Anyone else afraid something'll happen to George Lucas before he finishes Star Wars?", and while it does include a lot of chatter, the majority of the posts stick to SW-related subjects. Of course, it seems to be five or six topics rolled into one: they talk about soundtracks, collecting, editing, fan sites, etc.

I should go through all these threads and get all my sucks together (insert joke here). Let's see - I hate:
Cubs, Krispy Kreme, Coke, RC, AOL, Australian beer, New York, Jay Leno, Jolt, NIN, Gearge Bush Jr, Survivor, Oprah, both country and western music, and the new Azteck thing from Olds. Did I miss anything?

JediJeff trying to post #2000, through ridicule at him for failing to do so, on to comments concerning the number of post Chicago has, through the male members failing miserably to pick up other Star Wars chicks, on down through reasons why Leno sucks, over to other things that suck, around to a cola arguement, a slight detour to a donut debate, back to warm fuzzy thoughts on what's great in the world, on to the current discussion of the number of rings you would count should JediJeff be bisected. Oh, and if we were to bisect you, we wouldn't see rings so much as long, thin layers running down the length of your body. See, to bisect a person means to cut them in half lengthwise down the center with the desired result of having two pieces that are essentially mirror images of each other. To count your rings, we'd simply need to slice you horizontally through somewhere just below the ribcage, thus obtaining the desired result of a stump-like lower torso in which we would undoubtledly encounter encounter several dozen rings. All this adds up to one inescapable conclusion: JediJeff is definitely becoming mor

There's a ....... harsheness... that exisists in today's world. I found it in '91 or '92, and I thought you had as well. Encountering this barrier and breaking through it frees a person to act as freely as he/she wants, both physically and emotionally. I met the barrier with a smile mixed with trepidation and zeal. It occurs to me that your encounter with said barrier was one of fear and reluctance. Perhaps yu are not the reckless man that I have sought.

On the topic of cereal, here's something from our man at satirewire.com:
    KELLOGG'S NAILED FOR BUNDLING
Battle Creek, Mich. (SatireWire.com) ? Emboldened by its success against Microsoft, the U.S. Justice Department yesterday accused cereal giant Kellogg's of "anti-competitive, anti-consumer" practices related to the bundling of small boxes of different cereals into Kellogg's Variety Packs. According to Justice, the 10-box variety packs force consumers to purchase brands that are "unnecessary and gratuitous," such as Corn Flakes and Special K, just to get the Froot Loops. Kellogg's immediately rejected the allegations, calling Attorney General Janet Reno an "oatmeal eater."

A friend of mine found me the coolest computer game ever. It's called Tux Racer v0.63. I'm not sure where he found it, but I imagine it would show up under an Alta Vista or Yahoo search. To fully enjoy the game, I'd say you need at least a 233 and probably a 3D card (just a few megs in the card would do.)
In my (very) biased opinion, it blows Episode I Racer out of the water. It's a small game actually, only about 14 megs; so if you can find it, nab it.

If you were allowed in to look at SUE, then you were here either when the museum was opening at 8 over the summer, or just before that when SUE had just opened and she was drawing 17,000 a day so they were letting people in early in an effort to keep the crowds down. If you get up here at 9:30 on a Thursday, it's not going to be bad crowd-wise in SW:MOM. I guess it all depends on how much time you plan on spending in here...
Oh, and Anne Heche is nasty. She was nasty in "6Days/7Nights", and she was nasty in "PseudoPsycho" (although she wasn't bad lookin' in "Wag the Dog.)

Anne was the most hot in Return to Paradise. Just take a look at her shoes in that movie. I'd sleep with Anne Heche a hundred times over before Shannen Doherty. I won't disagree on Michelle Yeoh's fineness, though.

Song of the week time. The beginning of the week (Oct 23rd) was the 57th anniversary of the start of the battle of El Alamein. For those of you unfamilar with it - READ A DANG HISTORY BOOK! Actually, it the battle that made Montgomery a household name in England, all but ceased the career of Erwin Rommel and ended the Axis control of Asia. So, in honor, right click, save this, and enjoy. And if you don't get the relation, READ A DANG HISTORY BOOK!

Actually, I'm caught in the continuous loop of trying to recover from last weekend combined with gearing up for next weekend. From the middle of September (wife's b-day) to the middle of January (emerging from annual New Year's coma) there's something fairly major going down every single weekend during this time of year. Last week was Halloween; this coming weekend is my birthday along with two others, next weekend a friend is coming home from the Navy..... it never ends. I need an Accossiate Bob.

Hey.....I thought of something on the way into work today. A pretty decent question. Actually, I thought of two things, and believe it or not one is Star Wars related, but I will post that in the correct thread. Anyway, my question here is simple, but can be very interesting for those that read the answers: Name three songs that mean something to you, and the reason why the song does. I'll answer first, obviously...

    1) Queen "Somebody To Love" - it's pretty much a self explanitory answer when you listen to it.
    2) Van Halen "Dreams" - it's the one line in there that sums up everything about me "Standing on broken dreams - never losing sight". For as much of a cynical bastard and unmoved by things, deep deep down inside of me is this little optomist, beat up and bruised, that keeps thinking "This time it'll be my turn".
    3) Billy Joel "I Go

Y' got a lotta talent but ya fail to see
    Y' paid for yours
    I got mine for free

Play in the rain and don't get wet
Walk through the desert and don't even sweat
Play in the snow and don't get cold
I'm jus a cool young brother who looks kinda old

    Used to be a player
    Couldn't be trusted
    But still in all
    I never got busted
A girl in every part of our fair city
    I thought it was funny
    They were all too pretty

I had 'em all spread out
    Even one next door
    I had 'em like that
    So whatcha askin' for?
Four to five, you see was my minimum
    And every day
I used to go an' get with 'em

One for every hour on the hour
One on the way while I was in the shower
    Sounds kinda crazy
    Sounds kinda bum
But you see, Penguin was the one they love

So you see it go to a point where they didn't care
They didn't wanna give me up
    So they agreed to share
