Which one? "Your A Mean One, Mister Grinch" or "Let it Go". Years ago, the second Thanksgiving we lived here in Virginia, my mom's best friend and her young daughter were visiting us. Me and my sister, Obi-Han, took the youngling to see the Ron Howard Grinch film. We thought it was okay, the original was better, and still is.

I might be biased, I have my 1972 original copy from my childhood still, and I know it by heart.....used to read it to my kids every Christmas, like my mother did for me.

Kids books can be strange. I remember discussing The Giving Tree with my wife. An awesome book. Until you realize, the kid is one greedy SOB.

Probably some high-profile nut wanted to be first or associate their time zone with another non-descript Pacific Island and the person drawing the line shrugged and said "OK." I'll see if I can look it up.

    Edit: And, here we go...

Because one island didn’t like their cousin being temporarily far away [face_laugh]

Looks like someone wanting their island on their time maybe? So very weird, the line just doesn't really make sense!

Well, I mean, there's so many itty bitty islands in the Pacific, it's hard to to. You're gonna bisect some "country" with a straight line. Read the whole article. It's full of strange examples of countries going back and forth. If they did it in the Atlantic, they could have done a fairly straight line.

I imagine the 'itty bitty' island would have been a slight deviation, not a full on 500km out the way box move!! LOL

Edit: Or, you can also believe the rubbish posted by many!!!

Thursday is trivia night here, and my team won 50 points for best Halloween costumes, which was enough to put us in first place for the evening. The swag was good tonight too, a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant where we play. Next week we're gonna get all the appetizers.
