kotrchick - lucky you about the SATs! I got around the same score both times I took it. Luckily, the pretty average score and my grades were enough to get me into the college I'm going to.

About this time last year I was doing the exact same thing: preparing for finals.

Are there any hotdogs here? I don't do burgers.

A year ago, I was exploring for the first time the wonders of TFN and reading through the NJO in preparation for DN. Besides that, I was looking forward to my high school junior year...now it's over. Looking back, it was awesome. :)

This time last year I was in between the end of school and the beginning of work. Kind of exactly like I am now, except the work this year is much more exciting and entirely different.

And burgers? Ick. I'm not vegetarian, but if you've got veggie options, I'll take those over the burgers. Heck, I had half the incoming freshmen in OCF last year fooled into thinking I was a vegetarian for a whole semester.

    Also, math nerds rock.

There was about half a semester when I thought I might be a math major in addition to computer science. Then I got my brain back under control and realized that I enjoy my sanity. :p So no double majors for the DWH, even though I've cycled through three potential second majors in three years.

And the scariest part is that I only have one year left. *runs screaming in the other direction*

I envy the math nerds. Math is my absolute worse subject.

DWH, you're also majoring in computer science? Awsome!

Edit: of course, I also still have all four years left...

CompSci geeks rock! (I have to give props to my career field :p)

and i was okay an algebra and calculus. What smacked me around was Discrete Math. Imagine, calc, algebra, logic, trig and programming all smacked into a single semester long required course....

I had single problems that would take up six sheets of college-ruled paper, front and back....

CS nerds, unite! :D I get to spend my whole summer doing fun computery things, so hooray for programming. Even though my main area of focus is graphics (which is why another considered double major was visual arts).

I'm all done with math now, but I definitely remember the problems that took pages upon pages of work. Discrete kicked my sorry tail.

But next semester is the semester of graphics, animation, music, and a whoooole lot of dancing. Senior year is gonna rock. [face_dancing]

Yay! More nerds! I say we form a coalition and take over the galaxy. Because knowledge of computers and things are going to be very important in the future.

I had single problems that would take up six sheets of college-ruled paper, front and back....

    [voice Threepio] Oh my! [/Threepio]

I get to spend my whole summer doing fun computery things, so hooray for programming. Even though my main area of focus is graphics (which is why another considered double major was visual arts).

One of my courses for my first semseter is Intro to Programing in C. Graphics stuff is cool (this year I took Advanced Computer Graphics as an elective course in HS and my teacher taught us Photoshop Cs and a little Illustrator). But what got me into this was my regular computer course because we were learning HTML and Dreamweaver and that stuff is just the coolest. I think I'm pretty sure I want my focus to be Web Design.

But next semester is the semester of graphics, animation, music, and a whoooole lot of dancing. Senior year is gonna rock.

    Musc rocks too!

A year ago I was finishing up my CNA training. Now I've got a job at a facility that looks friendly and hospitiable.

My first paying job was at a laundromat.
