At the last book club meeting (seemingly many moons ago) we decided we were going to tackle the Legacy of the Force Series (herein known as LotF) and also Millennium Falcon (a book set 2 years past LotF). So here is our tentative schedule:

Jan - Betrayal by Aaron Allston
Feb - Bloodlines by Karen Traviss
Mar - Tempest by Troy Denning
Apr - Exile by Aaron Allston
Jun - Sacrifice by Karen Traviss
Jul - Inferno by Troy Denning
Aug - Fury by Aaron Allston
Sep - Revelation by Karen Traviss
Oct - Invincible by Troy Denning
Nov - Millennium Falcon by James Luceno

I also HIGHLY recommend that if you haven?t read the New Jedi Order books . . . all 19 of them plus e-novellas  that you take a look at this Wookieepedia page for some background. You might want to also look up the Dark Nest Trilogy. I, myself . . . in my own opinion, did NOT care for the Dark Nest Trilogy storyline but other might have a different opinion.

We may be meeting at multiple places and combining our book club with viewing parties, movie outings and gaming. Right now I don?t want to nail down dates because frankly I have to be flexible and I imagine others would appreciate some flexibility also. :)

So, there you have it. Feel free to comment, question, throw virtual rotten tomatoes, etc.

I'll throw rotten tomatoes or other assorted garbage at that series that called itself the Dark Nest trilogy...

I feel better, too, about not reading it :)

I loved the LotF. Just finished reading recently so I should be able converse fairly well about it.

    See ya round!

Overall I did not enjoy Dark Nest's plot, but I did enjoy some segments of the books, such as bringing Luke and Leia knowledge of their mother they had not had before.

I agree with you Cat. That was a good part of the Dark Nest.

Legacy of the Force happens a few years or so after the New Jedi Order series.

There is also the Republic Commando series and also the Darth Bane books.

Let me know if you want any other suggestions. :)
