Book: Han Solo: The Hutt Gambit by A.C. Crispin
Date and Time: Saturday, June 23rd TIME TBA
    Meeting Place: Beatties Ford Library

Solo is now a fugitive from the Imperial Navy. But he has made a valuable friend in a former Wookiee slave named Chewbacca, who has sworn Han a life debt. Han will need all the help he can get. For the Ylesian Hutts have dispatched the dreaded bounty hunter Boba Fett to track down the man who already outsmarted them once. But Han and Chewie find themselves in even bigger trouble when they agree to lend their services to the crime lords Jiliac and Jabba the Hutt. Suddenly the two smugglers are thrust into the middle of a battle between the might of the Empire and the treachery of their outlaw allies...a battle where even victory means death!

As we have discussed in the Book Club planning thread the period before the book club meets is a "no spoiler" rule meaning if you post spoilers they must be Highlight-To-Read. Example: This is highlight to read. After the meeting spoilers can be posted without the markup codes.

We will probably meet for an hour to an hour and half.

Everyone is welcome but please post that you will be attending so that we know how many seats to set up.

Questions? Ask. If it is a more general book club question, please ask it in the Book Club planning thread

Also, we have our books for the rest of the year picked out:

July - Han Solo Trilogy Book Three - Rebel Dawn
August - Star Wars: An New Hope
    September - Empire Strikes Back
October - Shadows of the Empire
November - Return of the Jedi

We will break in December for the annual Christmas party. :)

    Previous Book Club threads:

Han Solo: The Paradise Snare by A.C. Crispin
Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter by Micheal Reaves
Darth Bane: Pathway to Destruction by Drew Karpyshyn
Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader by James Lucerno
Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover
    Labyrinth of Evil discussion

Also, just so folks are aware we do use the Book Club as our monthly meeting time so we take care of any club business then.

We've talked about perhaps changing the time to 12 noon. How do folks feel about that? Is it more convenient? Less convenient? Let me know. Speak! People, Speak!

Either time is good for me. As long as I do not have to work that day.

I do not have to work on Saturday. [face_dancing]

What time is the book club meeting?

Now, all I have to is read about 140 pages before the meeting. [face_whistling]
