    It's got Antares and Ganner and Cade ooo and my favorite male character ever Jagged Fel. Yeah I bet you're wondering how that happened.

    Unfortunately, I leave Sunday on a week-long business trip, which means no #5 for me next week.

    Someone hold Trace's hand while I'm gone, please.

    Trace, email me the play-by-play.

    Change in plans for me. My trip to St. Louis is being postponed due to the tornados that hit the area Friday night and damaged the airport. Boo for tornadoes, but yay for being home for #5's release!

    YAY!! My co-workers don't know it, but they appreciate the times that you've had to talk me off the ledge before going to work after reading certain issues of Legacy. :p

    And it's GORGEOUS! (Poignant, too.) I love the scenes on Bastion in the snow. And might I just say that Syn and Cade look really good in those coats. =P~ (We usually talk about them when their clothes are OFF. :p)

    Now that the preview is different, it makes me really glad I saved this page. Blue looks so pretty! [face_love] Even though I'm a little freaked-out because that looks entirely too much like a Goodbye... [face_worried]

    Y'know, John - it's possible that you're even scarier when you're being nice. :eek:

    Kidding, of course, I kid. Maybe. ;) [:D]

    I know right???? I cracked up at Rulf's confused: "Mom"?! I betcha he's wondering why she never wore outfits like that when he was married to her. [face_mischief]

    Ah, new Dr. Who on Saturday and the new Legacy this Wednesday. It's a good week to be a geek! :D

    War #5 came out yesterday and it's a doozy! I don't see how in the WORLD they're gonna wrap this up in one more issue, but I am prepared to be impressed. :D

    Some serious **** goes down and everybody is bringin' it, but Badass of the Issue goes to Morrigan Corde. [face_mischief] Spoiler page: Do Not Mess With Her.

    Few thoughts:

    Sith Troopers are creepy! Like Cybermen from the Dr. Who ?verse on CRACK.

    Draco: ?But I am not worthy of your trust! The Sith broke me!?
    Roan Fel: ?It was your unwavering loyalty to the royal family that allowed you to be broken.?

    ????WHAT? No! It was his obsession with Marasiah and a Force illusion by Darth Talon! But, hey ? who am I to question the Emperor? Whatever helps you sleep at night, man. :p

    I?m so dumb about Fleet Junkie stuff that I barely know the difference between a claw craft and a twin tail (they are different, right?), but the Jedi are "Twin Sun Squadron." Cool beyond words!!

    Crazy Maladi is crazy!! And, apparently, on the loose. This does not bode well?

    The Mynock is on fire. With no controls. Or engines. Plummeting to the ground. With Syn and Blue on board. NONE OF THESE ARE GOOD THINGS!!! [face_worried]

    Cade v. Talon. HeeheeHEEE! Always fun. :*

    Jan! The ?Oh yeah? panels of Cade: the eyes, saber, and teeth ? AWESOME!

    I want a Rasi Tuum. :cool:

    Rest in the Force, Wolf Sazen. :_| @};- Damn.

    And finally, the gratuitous pic of His Hotness. This is my next-to-the-last time to get to do this (*wibble*), so it?s BIG:

    <img src="http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c228/jadedskies/Legacy%20pics/war5cadecropsm.jpg">

    Oh yeah. Cade made a mess. BOOYAH! [face_beatup] :cool: [face_love]

    John, thanks for cluing us into the change.

    I'm quite impressed with this issue, more on that later. I've did a quick read, so many things to absorb...

    QFT.

    I'm the farthest from a Fleet Junkie, but clawcrafts are the coolest fighters ever. There was at least one in Twin Suns back in the day...

    Twin Suns was Luke's squadron in the NJO, which he handed down to Jaina in Rebel Dream. I loved the nod.

    For once I get to comment relatively early on this since I got to see my family this weekend and mom brought me the comic.

    I gave a girly squeal in the airport when I saw the Twin Suns nod. Loooved it!

    Wolf :_| at least he took a Sith with him though. Slightly frustrating because I feel like it is just giving more fuel to the fire for Cade to turn completely dark in his removal of Krayt (yeah yeah I know I'm assuming he wins, but I can't help putting all confidence into our man for at least accomplishing the task of destroying Krayt.)

    Corde taking out Veed was excellent as well and about damn time!

    Freaking out with Trace and attempting to find a happy place because the Mynock was going down and in flames.

    Loved seeing the Rogues in a space battle again even though it resulted in the loss of Andurgo. :(

    Trace, I agree with you on the Emperor/Draco exchange. I think there has to be something that it is alluding to that will happen in #6 because the exchange is weird. Though...the Emperor could be just that full of himself.

    I'm sure by now that it's old hat to some here but I saw the link for the new interview that John did for Agent of the Empire and it has a question or two about War at the end

    OK. Last question before someone gets killed. Your other Star Wars series, "Star Wars: Legacy - War" is coming to a close and you?re on the record of stating that there will be casualties. You?ve been building toward an epic confrontation between Cade Skywalker and Darth Krayt ever since "Legacy" #1. Is it safe to say only one of these two great warriors will survive?

    It?s not safe to say that either of these two great warriors will survive the final issue.

    ARGH. So. Mean. I'm getting so antsy and frustrated I'm going to smack a *****. :p

    :oops: I didn't even think to look at the interview for Legacy tidbits.

    Corrected for you, Bri. ;)

    John, do they have a Mean Evil Author course? Because you're just way too good at making fans antsy and frustrated while they wait for the next issue. [face_devil]

    17 days and counting... [face_worried]

    So, we went to see Thor today. Holy Hotness, Batman!! [face_hypnotized]=P~[face_blush] I knew absolutely nothing about the character or his story before seeing the movie, so I don't know how true it was to the comics, but I thought it was AWESOME!! :D

    There were some great actors and a plot, I think, and some shiny special effects, etc, etc, etc...

    I vaguely remember them because THERE WAS THIS:

    [image=http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c228/jadedskies/ThorChrisHemsworth-535x356.jpg]
    [image=http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c228/jadedskies/thorchris-hemsworth-thor.jpg]
    [image=http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c228/jadedskies/thorChrishemsworthshirtlessinThorMovie.jpg]

    I mention it here for a reason :p because as I was perusing the above images (otherwise known as: Proof That God Exists And He Loves Us ;)), my 9 yr-old daughter sat down beside me and declared: "He looks like Cade!"

    Atta girl! [face_cowboy]

    I finally got to sit down and read Legacy: War from start to finish, really read it, in preparation for the end. I mean there is so much packed in there, it's mind-boggling. I've noted elsewhere in discussions about the EU that I thought the big book series concentrated too much on telling one character's journey instead of using such a broad swath to do multiple strong character arcs. Doing more than one character arc is more likely to get lots of people engaged, because each person has a type of character that attracts them. (Or at least that's been my theory.) For instance I started out heavily invested in the IKs and Marasiah because I liked Jag. The EU has actually made me ambivalent toward Luke and his line so Cade was there as part of the story.

    Now, after reading it all in one sitting, I can't wait to see where this winds up for Cade and his team of loyal pals because he's truly compelling to me as a reader. So yes my theory at least worked on me.

    On another note there are so many slick references back to Star Wars movies and the earlier EU that my head started to spin - from little name drops to clever plot evolution. I can't even begin to start listing them all, but they added to my enjoyment.

    Happy belated birthday, Sey!!:D[:D]

    I would agree with that theory and I think it?s definitely one of the reasons that Legacy has been so successful: there?s something for everyone to like.

    Re-reading WAR from the beginning is a good idea. I may do that. It?ll keep me out of the Lit forum, lol. (It?s hard not to click on that thread! 8-} )

    I did cave and look at one of the preview pages after TNPredsFan told me about it and assured me that it wasn?t spoilery:

    You guuuuuuys! [face_hypnotized][face_hypnotized][face_hypnotized]

    The chorus to this song immediately came to mind (It?s the clean version)

    Y'all gon' make me lose my mind up in HERE, up in here
    Y'all gon' make me go all out up in here, up in here
    Y'all gon' make me act a FOOL up in HERE, up in here
    Y'all gon' make me lose my cool up in here, up in here

    [face_laugh]

    It's a nervous laugh. Stuff's about to get real...[face_worried]
