Many of the guests in attendance have worked on Star Wars Graphic Novels and comics, and other film-related projects including the official Starship Troopers comic, Doctor Who, and others. For the complete guest list see here.

The UKG will also be in attendance, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars.

    Cosplayers get in for FREE!

Ticket prices for everyone else are:
Children 10 and under, when accompanied by a full paying adult - free
    Children aged 11-16 - £1
    Adults £6 per day

More information can be found on the official website, here.

(The Offificial) Film Night: Friday 11th May 2007
The Bristol International Comic Expo and Orang Utan Comics present, in aid of the Orangutan Foundation UK, an event showcasing the best in independant and fan films, of which I am helping to organise.

It is held at Ramada Plaza Hotel (click for a map) and begins at 10pm.

Included in the evening's schedule is the award winning fan film, Star Wars: Revelations, which if you have not seen yet, you will really not want to miss, and if you have, you can now see on a big screen!
We also have a rare opportunity to see a two minute comedic promotional short from LucusArts themselves.

There will be a bar open throughout the night, and the first 50 people to arrive will recieve a free Goody Bag, inside which will be snacks and special items.

For more information about this event, visit the official MySpace, found here. Feel free to Friend us, and Subscribe to our Blog to recieve information about updates as and when they happen.

Funnily enough I was just about to post whether people wanted to go to this, didn't realise you had posted lol, shows how much I have checked the boards in my Easter off :( Great post btw,

Just looking into hotels and travel, should be able to get down on the Sat around lunch time. With working till 5pm on Friday it's not going to be easy for me, hmmm unless I use that time I am owed ... maybe. But I think getting there for the Friday night event will be a no-no unfortunately.

    Anyone else interested?

Cher2a - just curious, who you affiliated with - the Bristol comic con itself, the Revelations team or with one of the cosplay groups?

I would like to go to this but it would be a bit treaky at present and I am planning to go to Legoland that weekend, lol :D

I think I will plan to go next year if it happens of cause. I'd like to visit Bristol again because my first and only time wasn't great due to getting lost for a chunk of it.
Not sure but the online comicbook I work for might be present, if so check out the Night Warrior stand and let us know what you think :)

I doubt I could get off work for this.
It is a shame because I wanted to go last year and couldn't either

We at Orang Utan Comics are organising the OFFICIAL Film Night - the information is on the Events section of the BICE website. We spoke with the Star Wars: Revelations creators and have their full support with showing their film since entrance is free and they like to share their project (obviously). As far as cosplay groups are concerned we are trying to encourage cosplayers to attend the event.

Ps. Sorry for the delay. I asked the system to send me Topic Reply Notifications, but it doesn't seem to have worked... I shall just have to check back daily from now on, to be certain.
