    Perhaps 120m is its size without the containers, but I think the difference is less than 20m...
    That should be another mistake, like the Executor size one [face_frustrated]

    And your modelling was amazing, man. It's always nice to see ships from the games made on this level of detail.

    When you finish the textures that will be awesome.

    Finaly I found some time to render. I used Mental Ray to render the following images of the Container.
    I will finish the rending of the freighter shorty. But I finished the Container first.

    The next pictures shows the cargobay door open and a field of Containers, like in the game

    Finaly I have finished the freighter.
    Here are my end results.
    Used mental ray for rendering took about 8 minutes per rendering.

    Imperial freighter (straight from the factory)

    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7ibulk03.jpg][image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7ibulk04.jpg]
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7ibulk05.jpg][image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7ibulk06.jpg]

    Rebel freighter (Been in use for a while)
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7rbulk01.jpg][image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7rbulk02.jpg]
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7rbulk03.jpg][image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7rbulk04.jpg]
    [image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7rbulk05.jpg][image=http://massassi.yavin4.com/models/e7rbulk06.jpg]

    I will make some more renderings with some other craft, like shuttle docking and some rebel attack run on the freighers, to simulate the x-wing game.

    Please let me know what you think of them.

    It looks really nice. I think the grime damage might be a bit too deep though, looks like acid was thrown at it.

    Awesome work, man.

    Perhaps it needs some "carbon" marks or something, to simulate it has been hit by a laser or debris from some ships in more than one time... ;)

    I like it.

    It looks great, very nice work!
    I have a model of this freighter somewhere but it's by far not as good as yours.
    I like the dammage on the rebel-version though it could use some more dirtying up to my taste.

    Good job!!

    Looks sharp. Nicely done.

    I fired up TIE Fighter the other night, and the first thing I did was crash into one of these.

    I made some more renderings. I used some craft from the Sci-Fi 3D, to get the real X-Wing feeling.
    Please let me know what you think

    i think it looked kinda better in clay renders. Looks like u covered it with few maps, like its repeating. It be better if u draw top,front,bottom,back map for the middle part at least, like in photoshop, so u can wear out edges and more variation.
    Everything else is great.

    The detail work is fantastic, but in my opinion the paint job looks too pristine. Take a look at the boxcars on a freight train - you can tell those things have taken a beating and seen a lot of miles. The same should appear to be true here. There could be more variations in the actual red color (as though it was painted at different times by different people/machines using slightly different colors), scratches and chips in the paint (from people like us crashing into them!), and, as other have mentioned, carbon/blast damage.

    Other than my texture quibbles, bravo on resurrecting a relic from the past!

    Yes, I could have added a lot of dirty spots. But I could not find the time.
    When I can find some time (will not be soon), I will update this. Or is there any one else who wants to do it ?
    I will see if I can get it on my page for download and on SciFi3d.

    Thanks for the comments.
