    16 August 2005.
    Fire is so big that...
Spanish cities have the skys covered with smoke.

Notice that black areas of already burned woods this year... they are not little.

Today Coimbra area is burning already for more than 24 hours. Houses and cars burned. Highways cutted.
Mayday Mayday, Portugal is on fire...

Why? Should one believe this is all natural fires?
What is the interest of doing this?
    Sad :( Too sad...

This one is from 2 days ago, the wind changed to the oposite direction, now all the smoke is going to the atlantic. But still quite large residuals of the fires. The lowering of the national temperatures helped the fireman, all fires are under control now, but i guess this year we will still have problems. Unfortunally every year, specially on summer we have hundred of thousands hectares of florest burned, wich is sad.. one day we will not have any florest left. And we had such nice views/places. Morgaine can confirm that the ones she saw (that were still untouched) were very nice.

    Thanks for the replies.

    ChimealHeltei:
It is terrible. Even more than I can imagine. Because fortunally inever lived the experience to see all my property being burned, having to fight high flames trying to save what is mine from being burned. Or loosing someone with it. The panic of not having the means to fight several meters high flames. Not having firemans available, cause they already trying to save someone else. So yes, all help from other countries is very much apreciatted and does make a diference.

    starfish:
The problem is that fires are put out, then it appears again on another place. Definitly there is human hand on these fires, human hand with dark interests. They are the ones that should have all of their property burned in front of them. To learn what it feels to the others seeing their stuff being burned or the national/world patrimony florests that ppl so much love and are proud being lost.
