Man my stoopid links won't work out for me. I just am not getting it right now. So...we will try a few links instead. Sorry for the linkage..but the /gif just would not work for me. Not sure why. Anyway....again some of these have my Rebelscum info also. And I actually have a new one that is not up on the web....but it is similar to these.

Jairen, I believe there is a Kinkos in the Circle Center Mall :)

That means that I will probably be the only one sporting Grimby's lightside design in pink.

    Now THAT is Comedy! [face_laugh]

I was hoping people would do this again!

I made a nametag for C2 which was posted for people to use and in the process of creating a custom nametag for myself for C3, I decided to quickly make a couple for others to use.

They were drawn in Illustrator, one features the duel on the front and the Ep.3 lightsabers on back, the other one has Darth Vader on front and Vader's mask on back of it.

The only problem is that I'm having trouble hosting them on a hastily made site.
If anyone is interested in hosting them send me a Private Message.

    I didn't get a chance to get a badge printed out. :(
I had one all made up of the fanforce Darkside with my name and board name on it...and my laptop crashed a few days later!!!

So if anyone is making any for people who aren't able to do so , please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Chris

I no longer have access to my home computer, so I won't be able to help you with a badge. There are a few other people that might be able to help though. Try sending MrSkinnee a pm.

Quick question. Say I have an image in Photoshop that I want to use but want to get rid of the white background and make it transparent so that I can use it as a layer on top of another image. How do I do that? I look under the help section and it says something about the Map to Transparency button, but I can't find it.

I usually use the background eraser and eraser tools and just take out everything but the image. That leaves you with a transparent layer of the image you want to use. If the layer is a background layer, you'll have to change it to a raster layer first before you can use the eraser tools.

i'm having trouble w/ the font (star jedi). the "I" comes out looking like an "H". so since it's so close, i think i'm just going to re-use my c2 namebadge.

When I go to will call today I will be wearing my nametag and I hope to see a few more today.

So while at the convention if you see a nametag you recognize...what is the etiquette on approaching people? I didn't do the nametag thing last time.

    "You're from the JC?"

I think that is what I did last time.

Iwakura, I think the reason that is happening is because you are trying to capatalize the letter. I was making a nametag for me last night, and I was doing a "O" and not an "o" so it came out looking like an "H". I then remembered. Some of the letters are the same, some are different if you capatalize them. ("J" and "B" for example.)

yeah, that etiquette is about right for checking nametags. it is a little awkward, but that's the only way to do it really.

thanks for the tip jarjarjedi! i'll try again ^_^

using lowercase worked. i've got the badge printed and laminated (although, the color on my printer seems kinda jank and everything that's black has a pinkish/purpleish tint to it *shrugs*)

I can't post mine here because it has words that aren't allowed on the boards (note: no swear words). But it does have the "TFN: We know drama" logo.

    Look for it!

If anyone else is a SUPER procrastinator like me I made some extra hi-res nametags you can put your name on in Microsoft Word or something.

I've also found that if you look up some mom & pop print shops in the phone book alot of them will laminate while you wait (around here anyway).

    We leave in the morning.

Or stop by any place that sells office supplies (from meijers to Staples, or Target, etc). There are self laminating packets. Some are like a clear sticker you just peal off the backing and lay it over the item. I bought a 5-pack of Xyron Laminating Sheets for a few bucks. It's a 4" x 6" sleeve that you open up and palce your item in. one side is regular non-stick. the otherside has a paper backing that you peal away as you fold it shut, seeling your item and eliminating air bubbles. just make sure you buy self seeling or "cold laminating", vs. one's designed for heat (machine, hair dryer, etc) for ease.
