I too can make nametags for people (using the same designs that Grimby came up with), so that he doesn't have to shoulder the entire burden. Simply let me know your force.net name, your real name and where you're coming from as well as if you are part of a fan force chapter and would like that on the nametag or to not have "Fan Force" at the top of the nametag at all. Its easy!!

    EDIT:

Just as a reminder, here's the link to the page that I made for C2 nametag making, in case anyone is still having problems on how to create them.

Here is my 1st attempt at tweaking Grimby's design. I am not that good with photo editing, so any suggestions would be helpful (like making the text fill color the same as the FF, etc).

Let me know what you think, as I plan on using this design for my nametag.

    Thanks.

Jedi0824, your badge reminds me that I need to guilt trip my mother again... When we moved to Colorado in 82, she took my carefully placed stack of comics and tossed them... Thinking it was the trash, sinc eI hadn't packed it for the movers. [face_plain] [face_worried] OF COURSE I DIDN'T LEAVE IT FOR THE MOVERS!!! [face_frustrated] What do mother's know anyway? :p [face_laugh]

Trilobite - Great Badge, also I checked out your web site pretty cool.

Zoofo-Dyas - I have a similar story, when I was away at College, my parents moved, and my father gave my toy trunk to good will. Inside that trunk were Death Star play set, large Falcon, large x-wing, large TIE Fighter and large Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, Land Speeder and AT-AT Walker. Needless to say I was very upset, and still am. [face_frustrated]

bobafett25 - If you're using Photoshop, here are the star fill patterns I used for my badges:

Stars.pat - Save this file to your adobe/photoshop/presets/patterns/ folder and then load the pattern from Photoshop.

    Hope that helps. :)

Well, mine are at FedEX/Kinkos getting laminated... ready for pick up at 8am tomorrow morning!

I just hope they get it right. I'm just worried that they'll get all the fronts and backs screwed up! [face_worried]

Thanks to everybody that has either helped out or inspired the modification to Grimby's design (movieboy, Grimby, and MrSkinnee to name a few).

This is my first Celebration and this is one of the many cool ideas I have seen from these forums.

Here is what I hope to be the final take on my nametag:

    Front
    Back

I'll definitely say hi, if only to say thanks. And I can't wait to see all the nametags too. This is exactly why I didn't think it was necessary to vote on just one image to use, because there's so much creativity on here that it'll be awesome to see the variations just like Grimby said.

    (^^^These are only 1/5 of what I did. I had 22 total!)

Got Mine Done! Kinko's kinda screwed up my laminating. They put them all on one huge sheet (and it only cost me like $11), BUT - they weren't completely sealed! Like the machine wasn't hot enough. [face_plain]

But, with the help of a couple of friends (and an iron) we got them to turn out A-OK! :D
And then I slit the tops and put the clips on... and Everyone Loved them!

Thanks to Grimby and MrSkinnee for starting this and for everyone help!!

I had the same problem at Kinkos. Had to run them through several times. And they STILL weren't perfect....

By the way, not ENTIRELY having much to do with the nametags and all but while waiting in line for Carrie Fisher's autographs at C2 i was standing in line next to people who had used my nametags idea. We got to chatting and I gave them a copy of my Ultimate Star Wars mp3 collection on CD and then this little scene was recreated.

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v493/jrvideography/43celebration.jpg]

I can't remember who this was, but that shot is still awesome!

By the way Grimby, I have a question for you. I want to know how to put words on my nametag that have an image as the font. Basically, I want it to say Maryland underneath the Fan Force words, but I want the Maryland flag to be inside the letters, similar to how you have stars inside the Fan Force words. How did you accomplish this?
