Any ideas for what to do? Maybe a writing challenge?

 

I'd have to reread the books she appears in. It's been a while. And the only idea I'd have would be along the lines of, "Callista's ship hits a speed bump in hyperspace and ends up in Equestria."

Let me read one of them Light side/Dark Lord organization and see if we are allowed to
1) Put up a challenge on the resources.
2) Plan fanfic here, via PM, via something else
3)New Fan Art.

 

Crossover will probably work.

The thing is we need to destroy this bias of she having taken over Cray Mingla's body = bad. I'm going to read COTJ too.

 

I'll confess I'm not actually a big fan of the books she's in. I say just wing it.

And I was seriously thinking of a Crossover Challenge - drop Callista into any fandom and see what develops.

I don't know. I'm actually okay with that not being her shining moment. Usually I write her as feeling extremely guilty about it. In my stories, her driving force is not trying to regain her Force powers or win back Luke, but rather making the most of her second chance. Doing something to be worthy of Cray's sacrifice. But if you have your own way to make taking over Cray's body into a positive, that's great!

 

If we are going to write fafics. We should decide which period.
Do we take FOTJ as canon? or disregard everything after COTJ, after Dark Saber, after Planet of Twilight? Or just leave her on the Eye of Palpatine computer?

 

Fate of the Jedi can burn for all I personally care.

 

I got to read COTJ again, but it looks like to keep Callista Callista,the best is either to leave her on the Eye or disregard when she leaves Luke. (Probably Dark Saber).

 

If we do fanfic, its post RotJ, and there is a way to make the fic nod to the official canon that has been established since TFA came out.

 

I am... unimpressed with the Last Jedi. To say the least.

 

That seems to be a general consensus with people I've talked to as well. When Mark Hamill has strong opinions about the story, you know you're writing it wrong.

 

Especially when it's the opinions he's expressed.

 

Probably in April, on the 11th anniversary of this page, I may open a dialog with everyone here about writing a new Callie fanfic

April 13, 2006 was the birth of this thread, courtesy of the late, beloved Ambassador Cara Jade, who left us too soon. I am proud that this thread is still present, and as long as Star Wars still beats in our hearts, so will our admiration for Callista and Luke.
