Apologies. I thought actor’s opinions were fair game in a thread about the characters they’re playing (particularly if they’re promoting a vicious lie that’s at the heart of a violent attack on our Republic - and as such very relevant to her role in the Mandalorian), but I understand if that’s changed. Won’t add anything more on the subject.

Which do you think will come first for Cara?

 

I don't like her acting, verbal or physical. There's a particular scene that stands out: when she beats up the tank drivers.

 

We should talk about that headshot from Cara to open up E16. I squirm a bit imagining what a blaster does to a face. That was surprisingly brutal for Star Wars. That Imp got macclunkey'd.

I wonder if Cara went back to her home planet or they'd recast.

If I had to put money on it, I had always figured it would have been Bill Burr to get the axe from the show.

I hope they recast her with a better actor.

 

Re-casting would cause too much of a stir. Just write her out of the story.

I think they should rub it in her face and recast with a much better actress. That's what people like her deserve.

 

They could do that by just having another character say something about how Cara ended up being an awful person. People will get it. And it will die right then and there.

No need to drag this controversy out by re-casting the character.

 

I think the controversy is over. She's gone and most people don't defend the things she said -- only extremists.

It's not controversial to fire an extremist.

If they hire a great actress to replace her, people will forget quickly and simply not care because they'll be enjoying the new actress.

And the character has a connection to Din and Greef, so it would be better to keep her around.
