Conference Room 11, MI5 building

Markus stood up to meet Boz. He couldn't help noticing that the Lorrdian was significantly taller than him, but frankly quite a few of the MI5 agents were taller than Markus. However, in sheer bile and cynicism, the slicer was difficult to match.

"Any decent brainless agent, newbie." he replied. "You follow orders to the letter like a good little drone, you'll get killed out there. Now, you gonna sit down and listen to the other team members or are you gonna give me more of the rules I already know?"

Boz really wouldn't stand for this.
"Following the orders in no way makes you a drone, it just means you have sense. And I am just as qualified as you. More so in fact."
He stooped his sholders a bit and leaned into the extact posture Markus was in and adopeted his exact accent.
"Your reputation precedes you, mate. D'yer really think that just because you've been let off and given the chance to do some proper good with your life that you're anything more than the piece of grease slime you were before? Yeah, I didn't think so. I tell you now that despite what you think I will always act to keep my fellow agents safe, even if it's gonna cause me trouble. And you'd be fragging stupid to think otherwise."
He straitened up. He had a lot of respect for the other agents here, but this slicer was pushing him.

Markus was distinctly rattled to see his own words come back at him. He'd never seen this kind of thing before- rather than real espionage MI5 usually preferred to blow stuff up- and the effect was uncanny. He had to admit that the Lorrdian knew his stuff.

"Alright Girange, you've got some talent." he muttered, backing off. "But let's see how you do in the field. I think you'll find that shiny ideals tend to tarnish fast in the real world."

Stent watched the little confrontation between Boz and Markus with amusement, but quickly got back to business.

"OK, we have three agents here that will go tonight and can pull off the high nobility ruse, successfully, including a bit part of the drunken uncle that makes a family ashamed to bring out into public." With that last remark he smirked at Agent Carfax.

"That leaves three more tickets for tonight. Did I understand that we were to have two newlyweds?" He focused on the two young agents that, it seemed, were already in some sort of relationship.

Joss Vendu ~ MI5 HQ Conference Room

Joss strode in with Ruana just in time to see Boz mocking Carfax's accent and mannerisms with keen precision as a smile spread across his features at Markus's reaction. Boz was going be good leader.

Stent Kannat remarked trying to move the discussion along, "Did I understand that we were to have two newlyweds?" To which Vendu replied with a friendly nod as he spoke, "Yes, my wife Ruana and I seem to be the best fit for a pair of Honeymooners."

He walked in farther from the doorway continuing, "The technical wing of MI5 has conjured up a passport for Ruana and myself. Mine as Sonjir Koor, an asteroid mining Investor in the Outer Rim Operations, homeworld one Eraidu. My cover is that I'm looking to delve into the Resort and Vacationing business. So my Honeymoon would be a mix of both business and pleasure." It would come in the form of an Identi-chip that would display his picture and the subsequent information of his newly minted marriage to whomever an incognito Mrs. Trebond-Vendu was to become as well as a birthplace. Joss would have to do some minor studying on the broadest points of Galactic Economics that a first and only year scholar would know for his cover. (correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that how records are kept In-Universe? Identi-chips.)

Halon studied his two bickering partners wearily as he took a moment to commit their aliases and cover-stories to memory. The source of their little flareup seemed so trivial, but then again Markus always did seem to go out of his way to antagonize people. Still, there was no denying his effectiveness as an agent.

He rose from his seat, slipping the auction ticket into the same pouch containing his identification cards and walked over to the squabbling duo.

"Boz'rir. Markus," Halon said, greeting them a short bow. "For the duration of this voyage I am Serik, at your service." He was all set and ready for their next move.

Major General Devon Altria
Conference Room 11, MI5

In the two hours since being semi-officially welcomed and asked to 'stick around' by Mny'Karedito, Devon had had some things to take care of. As others had left for a bit, so did he. Leaving headquarters, he had used a Tapani Federation-issued hovercar to fly over to his planet's delegation and report in. Although it had been his illustrious father's idea to seek cooperation with MI5, he was still expected to report in once he made contact. No big deal, but it had to be done. Regardless of how the mission went or was organized, he was still on the Tapani timesheet.

The Tapani delegation to the Galactic Republic operated out of a block of offices high-up in one of the myriad of diplomatic office buildings in the Senate District of Coruscant. Pulling his issued hovercar into a mid-level garage and parking, he was quickly out and heading towards the turbolift that would take him to the proper floor. One of his aide's (Devon is a Major General after all) had collected and prepared everything for his boss: two packed suitcases and one garment bag (which carried a couple of well-tailored Coruscanti business suits and an extra FBSS dress uniform), his Tapani-issued diplomatic passport identipad (and included a permit to carry a concealed weapon) and, of course, his tickets. Checking out the ticket, the aide explained that the Federation had booked Devon into a penthouse suite (a nice suite, approximately 70.5 square meters [or 758 square feet], in first class, but certainly not over the top [aome of the suites were rumored to be almost 250 square meters] considering his rank or position in the Tapani Federation). The aide also reiterated a warning about not messing up and reminding that Devon that, in a way, he was representing the Tapani Federation to the galaxy's elite here.

With all that out of the way, the only thing was to gather his ID (with permit) and his tickets and head back to MI5. His aide assured him that his bags and stuff would be delivered to the Empress when the time came. Stuffing his papers (actually pad and chit) into the inner pocket of his black uniform jacket and head out. He would use the same hovercar he had come in, although he got stuck in traffic due to a bad accident in the hoverlanes.

Finally, he got back to MI5 headquarters and was buzzed into the conference room. Sitting down at one of the empty chairs at the table, he unceremoniusly pulled out his passport pad and his ticket and laid them on the table...just in case anyone wanted to comment or had a question for him. He wanted to show everyone that his side was taken care of.

"Very good Agent..." - Stent glanced at his datapad that just listed names of the agents in the room - "Vendu? Somewhat ambitious. I am assuming that you have some knowledge of asteroid mining? There is a decent chance of encountering someone during this mission that is in that business as well. I would suggest that if such an encounter does happen, you do your best with your knowledge but as soon as your limit is reached, play the 'I'm on my honeymoon, I don't want to talk about work anymore' card. I am sure that your wife would definitely assist you on that." He smiled at Agent Trebond.

"So that is five to the gala tonight. One last - wait a moment. Did we lose someone?" The Zeltron briefly looked at his datapad and scanned the room, meeting eyes with the newcomer. A young newcomer. MI5 is that desperate, huh?

"Agent, I do not believe we have met. I am Agent Stent Kannat. Are you to join us on this mission?"

OOGM: Nice work everyone, it pleases me to see people working together and figuring things out.

As far as papers go, we never got to see Luke's identification because those weren't the droids we were looking for. However, by cross-referencing my various books, the general impression I get is that your standard ID is something not entirely unlike your standard ID (such as a driver's license) plus an electronic component revealed when scanned. So there's visual information such as name, age, species, sex (if applicable), and whatnot, plus maybe a few markers, with much more information revealed with the right scan (such as various certifications, maybe medical alerts/information). People might have a few more identity cards for things that need to be more visual, but I think most information can be revealed from a scan of the general ID card/chip (since "credit chip" refers to a card with financial information on it, I think that you could probably use ID card or ID chip interchangeably). Either way, there's a visual component to ID and an electronic component, and you generally want the two to collaborate. Especially in case where information is maintained in a central database of some kind.

Anyways, get yourselves organized and figure out what you want to do this evening.

And Vector_Alpha, you may wish to avoid causing problems in the future by consulting with me before deciding about your environment. Considering the ship is larger than a Star Destroyer and yet carries a quarter of the bodies, a 70 square meter room isn't super impressive. You may keep it, especially given that the largest suites are in the general vicinity of fifteen hundred square meters or more. They're pretty much flying mansions. Of course, most of the rooms are more reasonably sized, the smallest probably being a mere 40 square meters in area, which constitutes second class (which makes it about the size of a Grand Suite aboard the largest cruise ship on Earth, which is hilarious evidence that Sci-Fi writers have no sense of scale, since the largest cruise ship in the world is about 340 meters long, a mere sixth the length of the Empress). So by the looks of it, you get a four star room, it's just that the ratings start at three and go to six.

That aside, as I said before, good work everyone.

Ruana looked over at her husband and rolled her eyes. "That would be Sonjir Vandron, Joss. It's a Senex thing. The ranking name determines it. But your IDs will work, it'll just indicate that you haven't yet changed it over. Matter of fact, it's probably realler that way, since most people tend to delay paperwork."

She looked around at the others, and removed the hat she was wearing. Her hair fell down from its confines- it was dark brown with only a mild reddish tinge now- as were her eyebrows. "I'm now my own cousin...Serena Vandron. It'll explain it better if anyone happens to vaguely remember me...I can shrug it off as a family resemblance."

It was true, Ruana's mother had been a Vandron before her marriage- not in the direct inheritance line, but still entitled to the name. Ruana herself had spent a portion of her childhood in the Senex Sector. And the resemblance was no lie; Ruana and her Vandron cousins looked very similar. Indeed, Ruana's father had on occasion noted that she seemed to have inherited nothing from him in terms of her features. Therefore, it was a safe option- the Vandrons kept to themselves, and any of Aunt Aliana's family would cover for her. Serena had been the highly ironic and rather sarcastic nickname for the far from serene Trebond heir when she was staying with Aliana's family.

Stent listened to the response from Mny'Karedito as he glanced over this Devon Altria. Why is MI5 letting someone from some Tapani organization join in?

"Well then, I guess that settles things, does it? I shall take the last ticket and join you in this," it visible to all that Stent was forcing himself to sound excited, "this event, similar to what I have been through my entire karking career..." The last words ended in a mutter, but the Zeltron quickly collected himself. "Again, I will have to go as myself due to the fact that I will possibly and likely encounter people who know me. I cannot hide who I am, but I can hide my actions." A smile crept into his face. "And be prepared to eat well, tonight, and on this entire voyage."

"Alright, we have six to go to the event. Everyone ensure that you have clothing that is appropriate. Now, Miss Mny'Karedito, I understand that we do have enough funding to acquire the rooming that we must get." He looked back over the group. "Do I also understand correctly that there will be some amongst us that will stay behind and attempt to win some tickets via the lottery over the net?" His attention was drawn to Agent Snabb. "I do not think it is extremely necessary but we could be in comms to make sure that we do not overbid on rooms or expend our funding. We do have access to some fancy, concealable comm pieces, do we not?"

"Define fancy and concealable. We've got comlinks in the form of just about any accessory you could hope for, as well as various earpieces and microphones, even cameras if that's what you're looking for. If you wanted to be very stealthy, it wouldn't be too difficult to go the surgical route with a subcutaneous comm, nor would it take too long.

As far as clothing goes, should I assume you all have your own or will this be yet another purchase chalked up to the company account?"

OOGM: Welcome back everyone, I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. For those of you who don't live in America, I hope you had a nice Thursday. In other news, Jedi_Aron_Tylander has dropped out of the game due to time restraints. "A subcutaneous comm, you say," dryly responded Stent. "How dreadful. I have never had to use one of those during any of my operations, nor do I wish to. I believe that earpieces that sit well within the ear canal should suffice, the ones that will not set off any metal detectors or the like. As for microphones: I once used a small, paper-thin microphone that attached right onto my outer throat." Stent pointed right by his adam's apple. "It was undetectable, especially since the lads in the lab were able to match it to the pigment of my skin. I believe that those should suffice for all if they are available unless, of course, anyone here that is more knowledgeable of the field thinks otherwise.

"As for clothing: Those that do not have any are welcome to my wardrobe, that is, those that are close to my size which I believe some of you males are." He looked over the group. "As you probably have imagined, I do have quite the collection due to my background." Again, the dry sarcasm in Stent's voice.

"I should have enough clothing to provide for two individuals, not including myself, to last us on our entire cruise. Everyone else," he spoke directly to Mny'Karedito, "will likely have to dip into the account if they do not have the sufficient attire. Perhaps the organization has a collection of such clothing? I cannot imagine that this is the first time that it has had to send a motley crew into the upper strata of society before."

Seriously, he was considering the disguise options himself. This wasn't the first time he'd had to blend into the upper echelons of society, though often he'd just acted however he'd liked and let his (forged) credentials do the talking. It was amazing what people would forgive if they thought you had money. However, this time around Markus suspected that his team-mates would try and push him into hard vacuum if he acted up.

"In all seriousness, I don't... uh... exactly have the large wardrobes that you all seem to enjoy. It appears that my lifestyle hasn't been accommodating to the occasional shopping spree. I have a suit that'll do for tonight but after that, and presuming we're successful, well, I'll work something out."

Dub-Three, however, was to be seen as an assistant to one of them. Thus, he too needed to fit in. "Quer...will my current plating be acceptable for the auction or should I head down to Q'u branch for a resurfacing? Also, which of you am I to be 'assisting'?"

She looked at the droid, then towards Sevrin.

"Well, you tell me, has your droid done anything to anyone that would make him any more recognizable than any other protocol droid? If not, he could travel with either the lovebirds or the business party and I don't think anyone would care about just one droid."
