Description of the role: You play as part of an elite squad of a futuristic cyberpunk-themed military. Set in a far-future Earth, the planet has been attacked by an alien force that feeds on biomatter and seeks to absorb all living things into its hivemind. There are various class options and a light leveling system where new and better gear is unlocked as the game progresses. There is a limited number of roles but will continue to remain open until all have been filled. Oh and the world is controlled by a corporation, which is sure to be completely and utterly benevolent. Glory to Mankind!

Human, Elf (with three subtypes), Orcs, Fairies, Lizardmen, Dwarves, Mirkin (Think Merfolk or Triton), and Aviskin (Bird People)

Description Of The Roles:
The multiverse theory is real. Many, if not all of the pop culture, fiction, alternate realities, you can think of exist. That said, you are a normal human on regular earth who is recruited into the Reincarnation Wars. You unlock your past "souls" or lives that you have lead before. They can be anything from anything, within the rules listed below. So your past souls could be Goku, Harry Potter, and Bart Simpson. You unlock those characters skills and abilities. So you would have magic and super saiyan powers and the ability to ride a skateboard. You then use these powers to partake in the RW, which are essentially fighting people like yourself who want to do something you want to stop (Like destroy, take over, enslave, whatever) the multiverse. For some of the settings we will visit, some of them include the DC Injustice universe, maybe some Epic Fantasy settings and Pure Sci Fi Settings. I might allow players to vote where we head to next.

Game: The Call of The Norseman
Type of Game: Low Fantasy Epic

Description of the Role:
Here is a link to the teaser I put in the interest measurement thread. The game would focus on a coming-of-age narrative for a young man or woman growing up during the age of the Vikings. There would be aspects of Norse Mythology integrated into the game and feats of superhuman bravado as our young hero raids foreign lands, vanquishes great monsters, and becomes a true Viking.

This is also connected to a larger project I have in mind dubbed 'Legacy of Heros'. The basic concept is that three 1v1 games focused on three heroes from disparate times that follow their own arcs and challenges in their own time. The first of these is Call of the Norseman, this game, set during the age of the Vikings (793-1066). The other two would be set in Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. The release of the other games depends on this one. All three of these games would then, ideally, conclude feeding into a singular final game where the three heroes meet for some final, nebulous challenge.

An ambitious idea I know, but the Call of the Norseman is set up to be a stand-alone story, complete within and of itself. PM me if interested or have further questions.

Game: The Final Tomb

Description of the Role:
As a part of the overall, A Legacy of Heros game series this game would take place in mythical an ancient Egypt. You play an adventurer, their past up to you, that is seeking the Final Tomb, a legendary place of the supposed Gods of Egypt. Perhaps you play as the Son of the Pharaoh perhaps you are just a mere peasant. Who knows? That can be discussed. Magic will play a more prominent role than the other two entries in the series.

In essence, a low fantasy game of ancient Egypt where the Egyptian gods are very much real. Two other concurrent 1v1s set in Norse Myth and Greek Myth happening separately but at the same time as all three are then brought into a final fourth game where all three heroes team-up.

Do not fret if your knowledge of Egyptian Myth is not top tier I am more than happy to explain along the way.

Game: Second Chances - A Star Wars SHORTS game [CS Welcome!]
Type of game: Star Wars - Short Game
Role type: Original Characters

Description of the role: You play the role of passengers on a convoy vessel that will be "lost" in the first chapter by events existing in Star Wars. Your characters will attempt to survive the destruction of the lead ship in a "Choose Your Own Adventure"-style role play where you decide which paths you take, and the consequences move the story. The remaining story will tell the story of the passengers presumed lost, with events affected by the larger Star Wars Universe and their own survival. Each chapter is short and will be about 3-weeks in length.

I'd love to get the game to round out around 5 players or so to keep the game moving.

PM me for details, questions, and even specifics regarding characters to fill the gaps if you'd like.

Character introductions begin September 20 with Chapter 1 starting September 27.

 

Casting Call for Chapter 3 of 6 of the Star Wars Mini-Game Second Chances.

What's Happened So Far:

Chapter 1 - If At First You Don't Succeed - In the year before The Phantom Menace, a humanitarian mission was put together by the combined hopes of the Republic and the People of Alderaan. The Second Chance fleet was a CR-90, protected by three escort craft, on their way to the Western Reaches. Though its primary mission was to provide aid to the worlds in this region, for many on board it was also a chance at another life - politicians, celebrities, farmers, pilots, and criminals all boarded her with the hopes of branching out into new territories.

This was all dashed when Lord Sidious had ordered Darth Maul to dismantle the Black Sun Leadership. Caught in the crossfire, the Second Chances fleet was destroyed and the CR-90 with its namesake thought lost. In the years that followed, the crew became a Legend and there was talk of great treasures and secrets being on the lost ship, including the last remaining weapons of Alderaan.

Chapter 2 - The Most Dangerous Beast - The CR-90 Second Chances had in fact crash landed on a planet in the Unknown Regions. Survivors had subsisted on the stores and tools meant for aid, but also had to make a new life for themselves 6 years later. Many have died on the largely barren planet. Greed and self-preservation have pushed the survivors to the brink as stores begin to show signs of wearing out. But as they are prepared to go at war with themselves, another threat from the planet is awakened, intent on destroying all they have built.

Chapter 3 - What is Lost is Often Found - We jump 26 years into the future. By now, the Second Chances has been all but forgotten except as a Spacer's Tale. In the time period that would see a Rebellion fomenting in the space outside the survivors of the Second Chances have built a life totally removed from it. They have survived the perils of this world, have tamed it. Have survived. And just in this moment of relative stability they receive their first visitors from a galaxy that has long forgotten them.


Basic Premise of the Game:

As a SHORTS game each chapter last 3 weeks and is moved along by 6 GM updates (Mondays and Friday). Each player is required to post once a week to remain in the game. A post can be short. I'm also loving collaborating with RPers to fulfill their vision for their characters.

Character Wants:

- Survivors or Descendants of the Second Chances passengers. You've lived by grit and determination alone. Think of someone from LOST if DHARMA and Purgatory weren't part of the story.
- Droid original characters (DM me for details)
- Imperial original characters (DM me for details)

The Dirty Seven is a limited run, limited player (6 players plus Game Master, 7 total) alternative Expanded Universe game. The events of the "New Canon" and Operation Cinder after the Battle of Endor did not happen. We are in need of 5 more players!

Welcome!!!

You are the ill repute of the Rebel Alliance, the cast-offs of a Rebellion that used you and turned a blind eye to your misdeeds when it served their purposes. You were the Saw Gerreras, the Garm Bel Iblis, the Col Serras, and the Dash Rendars of the Rebellion. Now faced with the need to govern and hold territory and not just fight, the New Republic central leaders out of the new capital world of Barkhesh has deemed you a headache, a relic of the Rebel Alliance, and a public relation nightmare.

You are obsolete in the New Republic.

But, the New Republic finds itself between a rock and a hard place by 6 ABY, 2 years after the Battle of Endor. The expected behaviors of professional troops and skills of top-rated pilots are not what is needed to save the day. What is needed is a type of person with nothing to lose and everything to gain, while also being expendable and crazy enough to accept a most likely suicide mission with little chance of success.

That person is you.

You may be sitting in the Rebel prison in the ruins of the Clak'dor V Prison Colony or you may be sitting in a cantina somewhere on a blackwater planet. You could even be back to conducting your shady dealings before you joined the Rebel Alliance. Or, maybe, you tried to turn your life around with the Alliance, get that second start, but it all came crashing down after the Battle of Endor because you were already labeled one of them and your fate was sealed; the bitter feeling of rejection or the humble reminder of your past choices has led you to either back to your old life before the Rebellion or working a dead-end job trying to make sense of it all after the Rebellion.

Regardless, this is your situation.

YOUR MISSION

You are one of seven individuals who have been handpicked to set out on a daring---and most likely suicidal---rescue mission. Your objective: trapped New Republic leadership on Kashyyyk. The same leadership that said you were obsolete.

If you are successful, Airen Cracken & Mon Mothma have promised to clean your record and you may either retire to private life or return to the New Republic guilt free. You will be given 15,000 credits each upon completion of the mission. If you purposely sabotage the mission or abandon your duties, then you will be hunted down and killed by the New Republic and bounty hunters. The New Republic will deny any and all knowledge of your mission if you are captured by the Empire or other forces.

You and your comrades will depart on the Hunk of Junk under the command of Jim Palso. Like the rest of you, Palso is a ill repute man. A man out for his own skin. But because of that, an honor among thieves is present.

Despite the seemingly cut dry rescue mission, something tells you that there is more than meets the eye about this rescue mission. Something else is going on, but what? Your gut tells you something is not right about this "straight forward" mission.

Description of the Role: The game is set long after Yavin where the Jedi were abolished after a galactic war that claimed the lives of trillions. You would play as a force sensitive detective working to hunt down a possible force sensitive serial killer. But, it will not be easy, your fellow officers on the Security Force don't respect you, and the people fear you. But, there's a killer on the loose and you're the only ones that can stop them.

The case is yours, will you take it?

The game starts Jan 31st 2022.

 

Game: The Aspects of Izloria
Type of Game: Epic Urban Fantasy
Role Type: Original Character or repurposed character from somewhere else in the RPF
Role Status: Will be Open for a long, long time.
Description of the Role: The World is Broken, but no one quite knows it. An original world named 'Izloria' people have magic items that are a manifestation of their soul called 'Aspects' that have special powers and properties. But there is the beginning trend of an 'off-ness' to the world. Characters recurring and reincarnated from across the RPF. Why? Meh... maybe Shadowsun got lazy and is reusing characters from his old games. Maybe.

But the loose threads are spread out, waiting to be weaved together. Our Friend in Yellow is coming... I'm hoping you can stop him. Have no idea what I'm talking about? Sit back, and just have a glance through the first couple of pages of the game, maybe...

Description of the Role: The game is an AU version of A New Hope based on George Lucas's second draft "Adventures of the Starkiller". This is my first time as GM and I'm hoping to put a good cast together.

Role Type: Original Character - Some kind of member of the Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard.) It can be a conscript, trooper, captain, sergeant, etc. Lots of room for flexibility, but try to keep it within the Imperial Guard.

Description of the Role: In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war. The story is set on the planet Chronicus with the 1st Chronicus Regiment of the Astra Militarum. This is a full 'grim-dark' 40k story following the Imperial Guard, and will have the cast going against all kinds of Xenos threats, and maybe even a little heresy. If you have any degree of interest, please PM me and we can discuss ideas. Some degree of knowledge on 40k would be appreciated, but exposition can easily be done.
