Remember, if you do something like that you can still split the hotel price between other people if you want roommates. Paypaling money to Beth worked well for us last time so I'm willing to do that again. Or mail a check or money order, whichever is preferred.

Mandalay Bay is the one that has the cool pool right? I'd be interested in that since I love swimming. The Flamingo pool was fun too though.

 

Yeah, IIRC, Mandalay Bay has the big wave pool with sand. And I think both MB and MGM Grand have lazy rivers.

After the last trip, I think a decent pool is one of my prerequisites for a hotel.

 

Oh man, I'd love a lazy river!

 

THE MONTE CARLO AND HARD ROCK BOTH HAVE LAZY RIVERS TOO.

 

I always seem to forget that the Monte Carlo still exists.

 

The idea of Mandalay Bay is a good one...I forgot about swimming.

 

I have to find out if we work with any hotels in Vegas and if so maybe I can get some deal or something...

I amazingly just realised that this is the same weekend as my mum's 50th. So I guess even if I saved the money (which I was going to attempt to do) I won't be there.

Where will the festivities be held?

I'm going to the Venetian in June and I'm pumped. Can't wait for my first visit to Vegas. Gonna blow a paycheck at the tables and the sportsbook.

Has anyone booked for this trip yet? I'm looking to make plans soon-ish, with fares as low as they are, and I'm trying to figure out now how to fit this in with LA plans for August.

Did we narrow down hotel choices any? I agree about a nice pool being important in the summer.

 

I won't know until like July.

 

I'm out. Because of a project timeline I had my leave revoked so I'm not going to be coming over this year. I have to wait until 2010 until I can make it out now.
