    Nope. They said I could have at most two weeks, but CC week is out because we have a full system test that weekend, and Jenn's is out because that's when I have to run a full training seminar. So I don't see any point going over for a total of about 10 days on the ground when I'll miss the two major events this trip was planned around. I'll save the money and plan for a bigger time next year (which is already pre-approved and nothing is overruling).

    Sorry to hear it Kadoodoo (lol), but I bet exchange rates will go down (lol) next year and summer 2010 will be even more of a ball (lol).
    (Kendra influence hasn't totally rubbed off (lol) me yet, sorry.)

    Anyone stayed at the Stratosphere before? It's dirt cheap online. Is there any reason for that, other than summer in the desert + recession? ;)

    You're going to have to scrub harder (lol).


    It's all the way at the north end of the Strip, a few blocks from the Sahara. Basically, it's a pain in the ass to come and go (lol) even if you use the monorail.

    I don't know if I'm as sold on Paris as I was originally. Mandalay Bay sounds like a good deal.

    Are we trying to all stay in the same hotel or at least, next door like last year? I honestly don't care about hotels right now and if everyone wants the Flamingo, that's fine with me.

    I looked today. Arriving Wed and leaving Mon there were sick deals.

    Bellagio was $951 total (air + hotel).
    THEhotel was like $1200 total.

    I just got my vacation request approved. :D

    Since rates look pretty good right now, I'm thinking of just booking one to lock in the price. If I need to switch later, I can always get my deposit back. :p

    Yeah I think my strategy is going to be to see what deal I can get at the Palms, as we maintain the computers there. Our sales guy says I might be able to get a really cheap rate or even free, depending on how generous they're feeling.
