I hope Kelly Marie Tran comes and gets a standing ovation.
I've never really done the whole autograph/meeting actors type thing, until Phoenix Comic Fest a week or so ago when I got Jeremy Bulloch's autograph. He was quiet & frail looking but still smiled and seemed friendly, there were handlers taking the money and his wife was helping him writing messages so he just had to sign and she was chatty. I still enjoyed it for my first such experience, I still regret not getting to meet Carrie at London 2016, so I'll definitely be interested to see who makes appearances, of the people I'm sure will be there I'll definitely go for Warwick Davis & Joonas, maybe McDiarmid too.
Davis doesn't typically sign.
Davis will occasionally sign if you meet up with him and he's in the mood to sign, but he doesn't usually do table signings.
Bulloch is definitely getting up there in years. I worked his line at Celebration Anaheim in 2015 and he was going strong, standing in front of his table and chatting with fans. His line was just as long at Celebration Orlando, so I think his health has taken a turn for the worse more recently. If you want to meet him and have him sign something, do it sooner rather than later.
I'd 100% pay for a KMT autograph now to support her after today, even though I'm not a huge fan of TLJ.
It would be nice to see. Not sure it will happen though - TFN Main is reporting that she's deleted her Instagram posts due to cyber bullies. I don't know if she'd be up for fan activities.
I saw the report on that late yesterday. A lot of major news outlets are covering it.
In any event, Celebration is still a year away. If anything, I could see her making an appearance in the face of all that. And she likely would get a standing ovation. Maybe autograph sessions might make her a little too vulnerable given the close proximity to fans. But I can definitely see her at least being part of the Episode 9 panel.
It's a shame the way she has been treated. You could tell in Orlando how she just has a real bubbly personality and was so excited to be a part of the franchise. Daisy long ago deleted her social media because of trolls. The toxicity of the fan base is a real issue right now, but so far Celebration has been immune to that. Just look at the love Hayden got.
I don't see her signing either, but I think it would be okay if she did. People aren't going to buy an autograph to go insult her. Also, most of the people who are so abusive online wouldn't act that way in person.
I saw an interesting discussion somewhere else on here about how the toxicity of the fan base isn't all that much different than it was during the prequel era. The difference nowadays is the prominence of social media and how that small toxic portion is able to be heard over a much wider audience than they were before because of it. And that it's the same vocal minority who were upset last time that are upset now. Only from the looks of things, it would seem that a lot of Star Wars fans have turned their back on the franchise. When in reality, most have stayed put. It's only that small vocal minority that makes everyone else look bad now that they have the platform to do so on social media. I mean, this kind of thing is happening everywhere in our society. So Star Wars being subject to it shouldn't be surprising.
Oh yeah. I cringe to think of Twitter during the prequel era.
We all had to check the anti-harassment and bullying policy to complete our checkout for our celebration tickets. I think KMT would be fine if she signed.
Now we just need Twitter to add that.
Even if they did it wouldn't matter. When given the possibility of anonymity, people seem to be the worst version of themselves. This kind of bullying rarely happens in person, especially not at a convention. Not saying it can't happen, because of course it can, but the odds of a group of people spending all that money just to harrass someone is low. The people attending celebration will be the people that care.
Also if she does attend I'm sure she'd have a 'minder' in case of any problems. The celebrity guests usually do.
I know. I was implying that the checkbox at checkout doesn't mean anything. If you're going to troll, a checkbox won't stop you. People aren't likely to pay to go to Celebration though to cause trouble.
Does anyone know when Avatar 2 is coming out?
I hope Kelly does come and I can't understand why anyone would be so cruel to her and her character, I enjoyed her performance in the movie!
I hope she comes as well. It's absolutely vile what's happened to her, and she always comes across as such a friendly, happy person who was truly excited to be a part of Star Wars.
I think my wife and I met her at Celebration Europe. We were in Jedi costumes and were approached by someone who looked a lot like Kelly, asking if we'd mind taking a picture with her. It was when I was watching the TLJ panel stream a year later and they introduced her and she said she'd been at CE and loved taking pictures with fans in costume when no one knew who she was. I nearly fell off my chair. We didn't get a picture with her (totally kicked myself for that!) so I can never be totally certain it was her, but I'm pretty sure it was. If it was her, she was just really smiley and happy, seemed to be loving just being there. It's horrible to think that someone like that has been subjected to such hate.
Hugs to Ms Tran she does not deserve the hate she gets. If she came to 2019 I would be very excited to meet her for being strong enough to deal with all of it.
Back to Autographs, I don't know if past conventions are useful for guessing who will come to future ones, but here's a list of who has come to do autographs in the past. Sorry for the long post, I'm not sure how to make a "spoiler click to open" on these forums. These are scavenged form blogs and articles around the galaxy.

Gah, I can't wait for the appearances to be announced. Sounds like they oversold in Orlando. I feel like some autographs might be going quick when they go up.
They started announcing in February last time. You definitely want to be on top of things. All the big celebs sold out in advance of the show. They definitely oversold (every con does that). Unfortunately, celebs often arrive late to their scheduled times and that screws things up.
And if ticket sales are any indication for how things are going to go, definitely jump on those autographs when they go on sale. Hamill sold out in a day last time, and he signed all four days. I know others like Hayden sold out real quick. So I would anticipate similar demand.
Hamill lasted longer than a day, but he was gone pretty quick (he was also announced really late). Hayden lasted less than a day, then they added a second day for him and he sold out again quickly.
Felicity lasted a little while, but she was in that first wave before a lot of people were really paying attention.
