SWC19 Celebration Chicago Appearances and Signings

I know the guest list lacks the big names, but I think this is the right Celebration to go big with. Guests aside, there's a lot more content coming than ever before. At this point before Orlando we knew about 40th and TLJ. Now we already have confirmed 20th TPM, Jedi: Fallen Order, Rebels Remembered, Clone Wars, Resistance, and IX. Plus you know there's going to be something for The Mandalorian as well.

 

It's really the same length as Orlando as far as panels go.

 

True, the extra day just gives you more time to do stuff other than panels. Plus it (hopefully) gives ReedPop a "slower" day for opening so they can work out any bugs before Friday and the big panels.

 

I am grateful for the extra day; gives people the chance to get some Autos and Photo Ops out the way...

 

Yeah, although I'm keeping my Thursday clear, just in case I have to sacrifice a lot of it for the IX panel.

 

Typically how long are the panels? (the big ones like IX and Phantom)
My only minor complaint so far is having the Phantom panel on Monday (though I understand why they did that)
I personally am grateful for the extra day. It allows Thur to be a focus on the vendors/autos/exclusives/etc...
Allowing for panels first thing in the morning the other days.
I will be thrilled once the schedule for everything and maps go up. That way can at least start planning a little.

They are usually an hour. The 40th anniversary panel was 90 minutes, but most are an hour. Something like Clone Wars can be longer if they show an episode.

I don't think so. Some guests were showing sold out the first day they went on sale, but then were made available again. That 10.25% Chicago sales tax is not cool.

 

Ian Mcdiarmid and Peter Mayhew were the ones that showed sold out at first. It was odd to see some be sold out and then back available so quick.

Yeah, that sales tax sucks. Have had to eliminate a few guest because of the sales tax

 

I'm waiting to see when The Mandalorian panel is. I'm guessing Warwick isn't hosting that one, so I could see them sticking his photo op at that time for that day. Hopefully we find out tomorrow along with any final guests. I'll keep an eye out to see if he starts selling out at all.

 

Yeah, since the Vader announcement dropped today I'm guessing Mandalorian will be the big announcement tomorrow, and hopefully the final(? who knows anymore!) wave of guests.

Then I guess we should expect the full schedule to drop next week and we can all start planning like crazy.

Billy Dee is sold out Fri. Don't know about anyone else.

I hope she doesnt sell out Friday before the times are released. I wanna get her auto that day but hope it won't be during the EpIX panel.

 

Like Warwick, she's one who has other duties that take up time.
