Since we are slowly approaching the date, do I get this right that my tickets will be shipped to me shortly? I am based in Poland so I should expect my tickets in the mailbox, right?

 

They usually start shipping badges like a month before the event.

That VIP price is eye watering

I preferred Chicago when it was all simply face value rather than "market demand", but I get that no VIP is going to return/exchange for that.

 

Agreed, this doesn't seem very fair.

My name is Pablo. I’m from Spain and this will be my first Celebration.

Having a cousin studying in Dublin, I will go just on Sunday from there to London, and way back.

I have many questions, but in this moment I need you to help me with the transfer from the airport to London ExCel.

I’m flying with Ryanair, whose options are:

- Arrival at Stansted at 7:50
- Arrival at Gatwick at 08:30
- Arrival at Luton at 09:30

It seems STD is the closer one to the London Excel. My idea is to get there at 07:50. Can you corroborate if this is the best option and specially how can I get to the convention? I’m having a hard time looking for buses… help me force-uses, you are my only hope. Thank you!

 

If you go into Gatwick there is a train service to London. Once you are there you can take the Tube to your hotel If we know the general area you are staying in we can help you plot the route from your hotel to Excel.. Here is the FAQ section on the Gatwick Express website.
There is a similar service from Stanstead. Here is their website. Note that I haven't used either service. Whichever you decide be sure to check with them that there aren't any engineering works when you want to travel. Easter is a long weekend in the UK and train firms like to use it for track works.
Once you are in London, depending on your location, you can use the Tube to get to the nearest DLR station. That will get you to Excel.

 

I've only used Heathrow since I live close to there.

Thanks a lot for the answers, I asked a friend of mine who lives there and she recommend me to take the train from the airport to Stratford and then a bus to Custom House.

P.S: According to The official ExCel webpage, the best way to arrive there is Elizabeth Line. I can take the train to Liverpool Station and take Elizabeth line until Custom House.

So it seems I must choose whether I prefer train/underground or bus… I think I’ll take the first one.

 

I've seen a few posts recently on the Celebration Facebook group of people having their accommodations suddenly cancelled. Haven't looked into it myself, but just thought I'd give an FYI here in case anybody wants to double check on theirs.

 

Do you know if the cancellations are connected to one hotel in particular? I know councils here have been using hotels to house migrants that have entered the UK illegally.
