Uh oh...I know someone who was going dressed as Darth Talon.

 

If you even think it, I swear on the graves of a thousand dead gods that I will kill myself. And when my tainted soul reaches it's dark destination, I will topple the master of that dark place. From my black throne, I will lash together a machine of bone and blood , and fueled by my hated for you this fear engine will bore a hole between this world and that one. When it begins, you will hear the sound of children screaming, as though from a great distance. A smoking orb of nothing will grow above your bed, and from it will emerge a thousand starving crows. As I slip through the widening maw in my new form, you will catch only a glimpse of my radiance before you are incinerated. Then, as tears of bubbling pitch stream down my face, my dark work will begin.
I will open one of my six mouths, and I will sing the song that ends the Earth.

 

So... in other words, you'll be the PS3?

The only cool customs so far are Cade and Ram. And Elvis the Stormtrooper, of course.

Actually, that first one looks really good. Most convention cotumes I find look really inaccurate, but hers is spot on.

 

Nope. The guy A) has a costume, B) has Cade-length hair, and C) is in California.

 

Technically, the custom's quite okay, but she has a weird face, imho...

Wait? So she thinks you look like Cade in RL, or what?

 

In the chat, weren't you trying to convince us the other day that you looked like Cade? And we all laughed at you.

 

I wasn't trying to convince anybody, really. I think I just said something to the effect that the only cosplay I can ever imagine myself as was Cade, since I sorta look like him. When you squint. In a dark room. With sunglasses on. Then I went on some crazy roleplaying thing where I told the entire chat to shut their karking kriff-holes. Which doesn't even make sense, if you think about it.

Maybe I'll try and get a picture of myself sometime so you can judge for yourself...

 

This is a poor pic of the guy as Cade. But when Jan saw him she said he's the spitting image of Cade in her head.

There are a couple of Talon's around, some okay, some not.


And for those that didn't already know, one thing dropped at the Continuity panel was that Kyle was to die in the NJO before LA said they were about to work on JA.

And we got to see the Holocron!!

 

Isn't he a little short for Cade?


I remember the LOTF panel at CIII said that the announcement of JKII saved Kyle from certain death. Which was announced right before SbS?




So what is the Holocron like?

 

I haven't seen or heard anything new except that issue 19 is suppose to be big with the Legacy series, and that they have spmething special for 2008. There's the Force Unleashed stuff, the new updates of WOTC rpg's, and the toys, but other than that...what else?

 

Quick! Somebody take a pic of the Holocron and post it!

 

Aha! The woman I saw is the first Darth Talon of the two....

 

We didn't get any new information that cannot be found online somewhere.

The only answer we ever get about anything new and upcoming is: "we can't talk about it yet"...

What better place to make an announcement than AT THE CONVENTION...

The Holy Grail? What was it like?

 

I'm actually at the con, so only one comment: I hope they give Traviss and the Mando fans their own panel next time, because there seemed to be quite an overload of Mando stuff in the LOTF panel.

Oh, and there at at least two Talons. And several Cades.

The HoloCron looks like... a database. Shocking!

 

Your skill in description underwhelms me. What kind of detail and organization are we looking at here?

 

If anyone is interested, the Holocron was created using FileMaker.

It is a rapid database development tool, and as a FileMaker developer, I can say that he had tons and tonnes of information packed into each entry. There wasn't much screen real estate that was not being used to present or store information.

I would love to get in there and dig around.

 

Filemaker is teh suck, if it's still non-relational. I just hate using flat-file structured DBs...

 

I saw Boba Fett fly today. I nearly **** myself.

But, just as relevant as what's in the Holocron, is how often and how well it's being used...
